SEC Refs

We should not be giving concessions to Georgia State.

We should not be playing home and home with Georgia State.

Refs truly that inept wouldn't have a job. They were told how to call that game.

Todd Stansbury can eat a sack lunch.

Not a hold, apparently.

We are already tied to UGA. We don't need to also tie ourselves to GAST and limit our future OOC choices. Now if UGA and GT were in the same conference, and freed up an OOC game, I'd be all for it. It does save GT money since a bus from Tech Hotel doesn't have to drive much further to Turner Field, or whatever it is, if we play away

The unfortunately more likely scenario is GT in Sun Belt with GA State which would actually be a pretty fun conference but devastating.

I don’t think it needs to be a yearly game, but it should be a rotation between KSU, State, and Southern for our yearly G5 game. No need to bring Bowling Green down here with zero fans, when we can sell more tickets to locals.

Highly unlikely that ever happens. We are way too rich of a school with too much history for that to happen.
Oregon State and Washington State are basically in the Mountain West and we will never get an SEC invite. I didn’t say it was likely. Just more likely than being in the same conference as UGA.

Even he admits making it a regular series has zero upside for us. Win and we get graded on style points. Lose and we’d never hear the end of it.

Seemed like the refs were the reserves that the SEC uses when someone is sick or injured. These guys probably work Pop Warner games when they’re not called up to fill in.

I’m not a fan of complaining about the refs, and I doubt that any ref is intentionally throwing games (unconscious bias is another thing)

But these guys were legitimately bad. There are plenty of other neutral referees we could use other than the SEC.

No, those teams don’t really win us anything. I’d much rather have a rotating HBCU come to town and bring a big halftime show.
