Should Clemson be an "official" rival?

Unfortunately, the real infestation is state-wide. The sidewalk fans from Rome or Vidalia who allllmost got that GED are the worst.

Not that there aren't annoying alumni fans, of course. Seeing fratty types walking around my campus in red and black trousers back in November made me want to punch somebody. Seriously, who thinks those look good?

Wouldn't this only increase the appeal of UGA to the lowest common denominator that currently cheer them on? Athens in now a desolate wasteland, filled with horribly disfigured mutants...sounds alot like most of the trailer parks UGA fans drag their knuckles out from.
 
I love the Clemson game. They must bring about 20,000 5'5", 105 lb, smoking hot blond co-eds to each game. Orange and purple sun dresses must be the uniform up there.
 
I've stayed out of this because I don't know if I really understand the original point. What is an 'official" rival? If it's a game that has a name, does that then mean that NCState and Clemson are "official" rivals because they play in the Textile Bowl every year? Naming a game is nothing but a gimmick to me. Both Tech and Clemson know that neither team ever has a special year unless they beat the other. That seems pretty damn "official" to me.
