With Coach Choice now gone and all the other recent bad news of players leaving, recruits decomitting, etc. and given our historically terrible record of 3 consecutive seasons of 3 wins only ----it seems there are several descriptive phrasings about our football program that are truly applicable e.g., 'sinking ship', dumpster fire, circus, 'sh*t show'. Is the program even redeemable now? It seems nearly hopeless now to right this ship. Am I being only pessimistic or accurate?
Whose the captain of this ship ? Collins or Stansbury? How do they regard it? I suppose we can't really know.....

I’ve said it before. The only silver lining is that this group of guys did not mix well together to make a winning cocktail. It was arguably the worst football Georgia Tech’s entire history. Complete shut out losses to end the season against opponents that literally could have made the score over 100 to nothing if they had wanted to. So hopefully, this will be addition by subtraction.

There is a faint ray of hope. Our schedule next year does not require greatness to be good. Clemson and Ole Miss should beat us. But, to be unbeatable Clemson has to adjust to a new staff and start off better on offense. Ole Miss has to replace a great QB. Georgia will be Georgia. We should beat Western Carolina. We are probably 1-3 against these four. The other seven ACC games will be against ACC schools that range from pretty bad (Duke) to pretty good (Pitt) plus a good trip to UCF.

You don’t have the steepest of hills to climb in a conference where Wake and Pitt played for the title. Just rally who is left, work harder than anyone else, and shut down the hype and be well prepared. It is time to exchange a swagger with no substance for a chip on the shoulder that fights like hell every game. Collins will either lead this change or soon be our former coach.

Whoever takes over after Collins is going to have the most epic rebuild in the history of college football.
We need to hire a proven program builder/stability guy. Even if here for only a few years. Like UNC did with Mac Brown.

Mac wouldn't have won a game taking over GT. There was talent in place for his system when he arrived at UNC

guess NBC sorta knew what was coming?
what's in his hand? is that a money down $3 bill?

I am still looking forward to next year. Better OC, still a pretty good roster by our standards, low expectations, and hungry guys . The Coastal is a mess, so that always gives us a chance.

If you actually look into this, we had one major transfer in Gibbs and one major decommitment in Willis. The rest were all typical situations; a guy mad about playing time, a backup QB who got his degree, and a couple of borderline recruits we cut loose. Losing Choice sucks, but we will still sign Martin and probably Felix, as well.

This could be very interesting because I could see us winning 6-7 games next year which could cause TStan to have a difficult choice. Why? Whoever is our QB should play better. The new OC won’t put up with poor play over and over. So whether Sims takes a step forward or someone else I expect QB play to be better. The OLine can not be any worse. It’s just impossible, right? The same for the defense, right. We can’t be worse because we didn’t stop grandma from running a post route. The WR’s should be better with simply better players as long as Collins doesn’t interfere. Blackburn, Blackstrain, Haynes, and McCollum are better than the guys who have been playing. The schedule is not daunting. The coastal is trash so we have a chance to win some games. We are at rock bottom so time to lick our wounds and see what we can do. Something tells me GT has at least one coach now who isn’t afraid to speak the truth. Something that Key hasn’t been willing to do.

Go hump something, dwag troll.

Have TStan or Collins addressed the fans since losing players in the portal, de commitments, and now Choice leaving? It would be nice to hear how recruiting is going and are we talking with players in the portal. I mean an update would be nice. I would love to see TStan’s business plan when it comes to marketing GT football in Atlanta and surrounding areas. Maybe they are trying the hide in the basement strategy.
