And I'll do what I can. My opinions are terrible. I'm quite full of despair towards our own program that I feel like I'm just adding to the pile.

Gotcha... so your post was supposed to be (a) you telling GTFLETCH that you recognized he had stolen your post, or (b) you subtly bolstering yourself by calling your own opinion interesting, or (c) – oh never mind, who cares.

'Adding to the pile' is a kind of support group phenomenon. Makes us all feel better to know we're not alone in our despair.

I don't know how both sides didn't come to an agreement for Collins to resign and get a reduced buyout. Collins saves face, gets a year head start on the next phase of his career, gets to have 'unsuccessful rebuild' on his resume instead of 'oversaw nuclear meltdown of a fairly prominent program' on his resume, and GT saves some cash. This fourth season should not be happening, we cannot allow ourselves to be so rudderless.

It’s almost as if one side, if not two, are so full of themselves they couldn’t care less how much they’re booed. It’s next level narcissism
 
What has transpired since the uga game is why Tech should have fired Collins. Make a decent hire and potentially keep some of those players and recruits.

Keeping Collins next year might save a few mil but it all but guarantees two more awful seasons to endure. Because the rebuild from this garbage will be the most monumental rebuild in program history and will take a few years to get good again. Assuming Tech can land a decent coach that is. And that’s a dumb assumption at this point.

Tech can’t afford to fire coaches for any reason though.
