So who's CPJ gonna sacrifice at the end of the season?

The idea of CPJ keeping Sewak around just because they're pals seems stupid. I don't think he survives.

I don't know, he's made it 8 seasons including this one and people were calling for his head between 2010 and 2013.

That's fair, but could you go back to those seasons and assemble any five performances by any offensive linemen from any games and come up with a selection that matches how badly they've played in any one of the last four games?

Miami 2012 thru BYU 2012?

What? Our experienced o line is looking like Sewak?

I can't agree with that. Obviously I don't remember every snap of every game, but I know I've never seen our line this unsound fundamentally, so constantly in blooper-reel mode for as long as I've watched our team. That isn't to say they've never played poorly for extended periods of time, I know they have. But this is something else entirely.

Name me another OC who could score 14 points against a top 10 team with our OL and 7 RBs out.

Name me another OC who couldn't. It's a dumb challenge.

There are plenty of teams who move the ball around pretty well. Calling a bunch of dive plays up the middle isn't Offensive Genius.

He's the OC which directed an all-time, historic offense in all of college football last year (depending on which metrics you select) and has led historical offenses at Tech. Anyone criticizing that aspect of Tech football is beyond an idiot.

If we were just getting blown off the line, I could accept that, but flopping around and whiffing on blocks is unacceptable. We have a 350+ guy running past the defender right in front of him. That's coaching.

Remember the kid from Sandersville he tried to recruit after not speaking to him for six months? He was on the CUSA all freshmen team and has started the last two years for Marshall. He was apparently too busy to drop him a line until we were trying to fill the class after defections. Please tell me what redeeming qualities Sewak has?

Have come to a conclusion that the offense requires too much orchestration on the OL to run consistently. Getting 5 guys in sync year in and year out is asking too much. Too much talent on top 25 Ds to hide a weak link or two.

I don't think that's true. I think sending 300 lb. guys at people's knees and missing would make any offense look horrible. There are too many free defenders and that is on Sewak. The interior defensive linemen should never be running free in the backfield.

But how many years has this same discussion been had about the OL? Maybe it's on Sewak, but maybe he's the best guy available to try to teach an overly complex scheme. What do we hear when the OL doesn't execute - time to simplify.

It would seem this would make sense. There has to be a 'dumbed down' way to run this offense to make blocking more straightforward. Crawl-Walk-Run. Seeing how we have so many guys flopping around on their bellies, we are probably pre-crawl.

I was thinking about this earlier. CPJ's known to sacrifice DCs to take the heat off after a bad season. We're on the verge of having our worst season under him. If he survives he's probably gonna fire someone. I'd like that someone to be Sewak but probably not gonna happen.

CPJ has fired 2 DC's since he has been here, 3 if you count Kelley, although that wasn't a firing.

Both of those years we made tha acccg.

Roof is the first CPJ DC to coach the year following an acccg season.

Saying he fires DC's after bad seasons is just plain wrong

So what you're saying is we're having a bad season because he didn't fire Roof after we made ACCCG last year?

How many DCs did he fire while coaching GaSo or Navy?
