Someone is about to throw a lot of $$$

While I don't like NIL and the transfer portal the way it is now. Doesn't this actually help GT overall compared to the past?

While we probably had bagmen before, with it being out in the open and not completely shady I think increases the overall amount of $ available to get recruits. When was the last time we had a top 20 recruiting class?

Depends. King seems special in many ways

Isn’t college football so much more fun now?

Imagine Joe Hamilton going into his senior year and having no idea if he was our guy or not.

No thank you, NIL. Your world is garbage.
I saw a Xeet today that reminded me of this:

Honestly, I think the number is more 90/10.

Doesn’t King only have one year of eligibility left?

If so, I would think that diminishes his value. Despite the portal, there’s still a learning curve that he won’t have remaining at Tech.
The opposite. Every player in college football is on a one year deal. Paying a Sr. top dollars for his final year after he’s proven himself is a much sounder investment than doing the same for freshman who can just leave after one year.

Supposedly Malik Murphy made 1mil at dook this season and now they are offering him 3mil to stay, if schools are throwing 3mil at that freaking tomato-can what do you think HK is worth?

I don’t believe for one minute that any football player at Duke made 1 million last year. Basketball maybe not football.

I don't know. All it takes is one super rich alum who likes football, right?

Guarantee that’s a total and not yearly and rounded up. I can believe they gave him 800k for last year. Duke will always have to pay above what others are willing to pay
Duke just signed the highest rated QB in the portal today btw

That’s a good point. How much we payin’ Philo?

Our bagmen were hampered by calculus (academic rigor in general). Now, when was the last time someone was declared ineligible due to grads?
