Something needs to be done about our oline.

Seriously. Its one thing to have a bad game. Its another to keep getting worse as the season progresses. Some of these guys never need to see the field again. One in particular is consantly looking at our own endzone a second after the snap. That means he's not even blocking, he's watching his guy move past him.

I am not sure whatelse can be done for this group...

Agreed. I'd guess this is one thing that we're just going to have to (painfully) bear. I thought we had finally clicked last week and I don't know how much Andrew's injury has to do with this, but we just took a nosedive.

We just don't have it this season in that facet of the game. I'm hoping next year will be better, but I think 2010 will be the first time the o-line really looks like it knows what it going on.

Maybe we got worse because we lost our #1 lineman? Just a thought.

Never expected us to regress as the season progressed. Thought we had left that behind with Chan Gailey.

Our O-Line sucks and we run for 300 yards plus vs. good UNC defense.

If our O-Line is as good as you are all saying it will be then we should run for abour 800 yards vs. UNC.

When he was out of the game last week, we looked alright. The left tackle doesn't make the right guard look like crap.

We are an option run based offense. We are supposed to run for lots of yards. Problem is we can only run about 5 plays successfully because our oline can't do anything else. I hate it when someone who just looks at a stat and assumes there are no problems. Our guards are a problem.

Our interior line has been up and down all year. Gilbert has had flashes of improvement.

The edges were smoke and mirrors today.

OLE!

I started thinking about this after the game, but can we add our LB's to the list?

They've been pretty terrible for 3 games in a row now.

The ony LB we have worth a damn is Sedric Griffin. those other guys are just filling up a pair of shoes.

PJ said in postgame that both our OTs were new (we knew that) and that both our guards went out of the game with injuries.

Today's O line sucked because they're a bunch of high schoolers doing the best they can vs grown men.

Our O line should be much deeper and much better next year. Until then, we just gotta cope, and hope for some good fortune against Miami and UGA.

FWIW, we did rack up almost 450 total yards this game - almost as much as we got against Mississippi State. With a bunch of high schoolers blocking.

/shrug, these things happen.

Cord Howard got hurt and didnt come back. Also AJ Smith got hurt but then again he does get hurt everygame. So we had to put in Jason Hill and Clyde Yandell. Also it was reported that Vance Walker was limping after the game.

I for one, am seriously disappointed in Mr. Gardner. Why did he quit on his team? I could be wrong, and If I am I'm sorry, but it was made clear in the paper and on CPJ's radio show that his surgery could have been put off until after the UGA game, but he wanted to do it now so he'd be ready for the draft. IMO, this is effectively telling his teammates, "I'm looking out for #1 here - forget all that team stuff." We sure coulda used our most experienced O lineman today...

Sorry dude, I know you're disappointed that we lost today (hell, we all are) but having Andrew start for us would have made no difference whatsoever. Not only would he possibly have damaged his shoulder more but he would have been putting his and his family's future at risk.

Also, CPJ himself said last week in his weekly radio show that he could tell that Andrew wasn't playing as well as he usually does.

Regardless, since thankfully his surgery went well last Thursday, he'll still be able to be there for the guys on the sidelines and trying to help the other guys as a motivator and mentor. He didn't "quit" - he's still part of the team.

"Mr. Madison, what you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul."
