Stafford Puts his Foot in his mouth?

Careful Mover. You're treading awfully close to opening the door to the "former NFL coaches that come back to college and their ability to develop QB's (or not)" conversation. One coach in particular.

FWIW I agree that Pete has proven himself to be a better developer of QBs. Maybe anti-UGAg bias, but I would lean towards Sanchez too.

He played at USCw, that is all one has to do to become a college football legend.

Wouldn't the fact that he played at USC and did not win a MNC actually make him a pariah? It's more than expected there.

I too would love to see Stafford throw some bombs CJ's way. Yeah, he played for UGay and caused a lot of headaches for us... the kid is good, but he's gone - and we're better than ever. So let him live it up! On the other hand, that 40 million will come in handy when his o-line can't protect him and he's using those arms to push a wheel chair - not wishing it on him... just saying the Lions have another thing coming if they think all they need is a quarterback.

I don't understand how Stafford has put his foot in his mouth. His agent probably told him to say that.

I personally don't care for the guy but I can't root against a guy who's throwing to Calvin Johnson regardless of where he played in college. If he goes to Detroit then I hope he completes every pass he throws to CJ.

Ummm maybe bc the draft hasnt happened yet? Its not a lock that they're going to take him. He's going to look like a fool if he isnt taken by the Lions. I'm sure he has reasonably good info but still... I'd keep my mouth shut until it was a done deal.

Bragging about a multimillion dollar contract. What an asshat...

How many national championships did you win?
How many SEC championships did you win?
