I can think of UVA 1998 and UGA 1999.

What other games have we swarmed the field and torn down the posts with drunk students?

The practice ended when the Gold Standard came out and we all collectively decided to behave better.

IIRC, FSU in 2008. We hadn't beaten them since they joined the ACC until that game.

I was at that game but may be mistaken about the goalposts. But it was one of the most electric atmospheres I have experienced after a Tech home victory.

I don't think the posts came down. Same with 2011 CU, 2014 CU, and 2015 FSU. Some of us rushed the field for miami too, just because.

This was written in 2003 fwiw, so add 2009 VT to the list.

2009 va tech, 2011 Clemson?, and I think 2015 fla state?

Edit I suppose there’s a distinction between tearing down goal posts and storming the field.

1999 vs. UGA!! The godsey double field goal overtime thriller. I was 12, almost got crushed by the mob so some cheerleaders pulled me up into the front row of the old north stands and we watched the posts come down together :hsdance:

After the VT game of 09, Tech installed goalposts that come down automatically to prevent tearing them down, so 09 was our last time.
Don’t think that’s correct. I never see them automatically go down.

Students Swarmed the field after 2015 FSU win, however Goal Post stayed intact
