Tech opens -5.5 vs Syracuse

Huge game coming off a deflating loss. Going to a bowl would be a good step forward, get us some extra practice, and metaphorically close the door on the CGC era.

Some will say that 6-6 and a crappy bowl is mediocre, and to them I'd say that is true, but after suffering through four years of awfulness, "mediocre" is an important stepping stone on the path to "good".
 
Obviously a must win game to see if Tech gets invited to a bowl game. Even then we might not receive an invite due to small attendance to bowl games reputation by us fans. Some might remember a few years back Tech & Virginia had the same win/loss record and a Bowl Sponsor chose Virginia over us because they promised the sponsor they could bring more fans even though Tech had beaten them in the regular season . Not a good reputation to have.

There are going to be more bowl spots than eligible teams this year. Some 5-7 teams will get an invite, so we will certainly go to a bowl with 6 wins.
 
Hope King has a 'King' type performance against Cuse. Glad it's a night game. If we (team and fans) can't get pumped of for this..well, we better. This is for a bowl game.
 
The line has moved to -6.5, kind of surprised. Syracuse’s D looks big and fairly athletic, I think their offense keeps them on the field too much.
