Ted Roof

Look. He is a crap coordinator and coach and we all know that. But in fairness the option iiwii. It can come up and bite anyone and has. Hell it can even win an orange bowl if done right.

With that said. Roof blows so hard he looks more like a stingtalk mom than a coach
But yet, he has made millions coaching.

Cue up the 85 ugag game and watch him stuff their NFL backs the first 3 plays of the game. Paul Horning went gaga about him in the booth.
When we recovered their fumble to ice em, Swilling had to put his hands over his helmet ear holes due to the crowd noise.
It was weird seeing the fog roll in the way it did. Great win with Gary Lee's KO return for a TD

I think he is considered to be a great LB coach but that seems to be his highest level of competence.

He was a great player at Tech but wasn’t it Jim Anderson that recovered that fumble?

Listen guys. If you block the right people, you can’t stop the option. Now when your talent level drops below a level that can block in the trenches, the option no longer works. Southern can block.

There are a lot of things you can do to get the blockers to block the wrong people. It's amazing these guys that get paid millions haven't figured it out yet.

Are you saying that Southern has better talent than GT?

I didn’t say that. ESPN says that—-not only Ga Southern but also Ga State.

As good of a coach as Paul Johnson was, it’s heartbreaking how much he suffered trying to get P5 talent. And it wasn’t all his fault. He was committed to GTs high academic standards. He didn’t cut corners or fuss with The Hill.

That’s why a big recruiting staff like Collins, Key et. al. was such a big home run hire by T-Stan.

And that’s why we gotta give these guys lots of patience to get their players in here.

Wat? Most Auburn fans say they won in spite of Roof.

That is what they thought and then this happened right after Roof left:

The 2012 season, however, was more than disappointing as the team finished 3–9 and was outscored 150–21 in its final three SEC games—including a 49–0 loss to Alabama in the Iron Bowl.
