Tennessee Coaches and The Option

I agree. Especially when you're quoting a West Coast crew when you're from Atlanta.
Just throw yo hands in the aieerrr

And if you like Tech and grits and all that pimp shit
Everybody let me hear you say OH YEAEEERRR

Speaking of UT coaches, did anybody else notice that Bob Shoop was a grad assistant coach in 1990 - at Virginia.

What a time to be alive, huh, Bob?

After reading the article and "discipline" I'm seeing counters all day. Most teams want to replicate the basic plays and directions, players get comfortable with their "discipline" then PJ hits them with a counter.

Replays showed that neither legal cut blocks nor illegal chop blocks were directly responsible for the back-to-back injuries Kentucky's defensive line suffered against Georgia Tech. Rather, it appeared that Miggins and Bell each fell over the pile of bodies created by the quick push Tech's line generated as the quarterback decided whether to hand the ball to a fullback, run it himself or pitch it to a running back.

That's so awesome.
Nice that they get their nomenclature right. Annoying when legal cut blocks are called chop blocks and vice versa.

I wouldn't take anything for granted. New QB + B-Back means we're probably gonna fumble even more than we usually do the first game of the year. It may be somewhat balanced out by the loss of the MLB. That's typically the position defenses try to free up and they tend to have record days in tackles against us.

Doesn't UT have a new QB and RB?

Yes. Quinten Dormady is most likely the starter, but RSF Jarrett Guarantano will probably play also. John Kelly is the starting RB and played a lot last year. You guys will know his name very well by the time Monday night is over.

UT coach Butch Jones has seen this all before and encourages Kelly not to change anything.

“John Kelly just needs to be John Kelly, no more, no less,” Jones said. “He has to remember all the things that got him to this point, all the hard work, dedication, the sacrifice. He’s done that. He’s a very prideful individual as we all know. He plays inspired football and he can’t lose that. He won’t.”

:dunno:
