They’re not. Our team sleepwalked into the BG game thinking it was already won. They scored two quick TDs and were already thinking of Miami. By time they realized that there was a problem, BG had all the momentum and was playing on adrenaline.Hard to believe BG's OL is superior to Wake's....adjustments via game films included.
50 years later you're still passively gloating about getting back to back A's in Thermo! You could have gotten a C or D like most of the rest of us that passed with grades in the low teens, but you had to be the curve buster.I thought that after I got a 24 on my first thermodynamics test, but I did a 20 on the second one.
the offense couldn't stay on the field after the first two series Saturday.Well, the defense literally couldn’t get off the field so yes they had a great effect on the offense not getting opportunities.
Yep. If we are thin on D, maybe we should run plays to chew clock. In case you missed it, BG had the ball for 42+ minutes.the offense couldn't stay on the field after the first two series Saturday.
Mix that in with the defense not getting off the field and you wind up getting your ass beat.
offense ain't without blame for what happened Saturday. Not with six straight possessions and nothing to show for it. 3 and out, 3 and out, 4 and out, taking less than 3 minutes off the clock and putting the defense right back out there. Offense needs to help the defense - and remember how many times we said this during the PJ era - by staying out on the field and keeping the ball.
100% offense is fine. Our defense is so bad that Wommack's and Al Groh's defenses under Johnson even look better ... and that's saying something.Anyone that looks at that game or any GT game this year and thinks the offense is the problem doesn’t know football. Our offense isn’t perfect but it is within the norms of college football. Our defense is extremely bad and looks like an outlier that shouldn’t be possible.
