The ACC

I think being in the ACC is part of the disrespect and a reason the officiating was so bad against us during the Vanderbilt and UGA games. every fan I know wants out of the ACC.

with all the ESPN coverage that Belichick will generate, an ACC squad will be selecting next year's pop tart.

The poor bowl performance is due to the meat grinder of a schedule that ACC teams play in the regular season.

Bowl performance is critical. So critical that many pro prospects sit them out... or play just long enough to break a record before bailing.

By the time next season starts, most people will be hardpressed to tell you a single non-playoff bowl result outside of the one their team played in.

Individual facts generally aren't remembered. But "the ACC sucks" generality will be greatly strengthened by this bowl season. Like it was by FSU taking it balls deep last year in a bowl. These things snow ball. It's to the point that the ACC would have to go undefeated in bowls for at least three years in a row to even begin to change the narrative.

I used to love bowls, but I rarely watch one we aren't in, anymore. They are clearly still profitable enough to justify their continued existence, but I do wonder at what point the committees, sponsors and networks start griping. I cant be the only one tuning out.
