Git you’re mind fck rite.My wishlist right now (with 1 being the highest):
1. Beat uga
2. ACC championship
3. Championship game win
Bowl games used to mean more before every team with a 6-6 record went to one.
lol. Hardly. “The ACC sucks” has always been the narrative. I was really hopeful we were going to go to the Big Ten under D. Rad. But I don’t see it happening now.Individual facts generally aren't remembered. But "the ACC sucks" generality will be greatly strengthened by this bowl season. Like it was by FSU taking it balls deep last year in a bowl. These things snow ball. It's to the point that the ACC would have to go undefeated in bowls for at least three years in a row to even begin to change the narrative.
I would say that, at least in our bowl game, players from both teams absolutely cared/tried. We hand a handful of players sit out and not sure about Vandy. But you can't question the effort on the field. Not sure about any others as i don't watch them. With players leaving for the portal or not playing because they are afraid of getting hurt before the NFL draft, these non-playoff bowl games are just total rip offs for fans. Why should the fans care enough to attend, when the players don't care enough to play? Fans are supposed to be loyal, but players are not. Why should any fan support such a ridiculous system?

I agree with you about the effort of our players on the field. I'm talking about the players all around college football who played during the season and accepted benefits from the colleges for doing it, but didn't show up for the bowl game. For instance, Miami's starting QB didn't play at all in the second half. These bowl games don't deserve support if the players from the teams from the regular season aren't committed to trying to win. At least that's how I feel.I would say that, at least in our bowl game, players from both teams absolutely cared/tried. We hand a handful of players sit out and not sure about Vandy. If the fans start boycotting them they will fix it.I agree with you about the effort of our players on the field. People would have to stop watching it on TV. That’s where the money comes from.If the fans start boycotting them they will fix it.
That’s happened once UNC and Duke fell back into mediocrityIt used to be that the ACC was a basketball conference. I looked at this weeks AP Top 25, one ACC team, 10 SEC teams. WTH?
All but one wasn't embarrassed, Mr. SEC aka Paul Finebaum repeatedly said FSU didn't deserve to be in the 2023 playoffs, naturally Finebaum said Alabama deserved it more than FSU, with the main contention being, FSU didn't have their starting QB available. Where was the outcry when UGa's starting QB (Beck) got hurt? I am telling you, everything is being rigged in favor of ESPN's favorite brand....................the SEC!This reminds me of last year's playoff selection show. FSU went undefeated all season, they literally won every game, what else can you do to prove yourself worthy? Then the 4 teams selected was revealed and the talking heads on whatever show I was watching looked embarrassed and ashamed of themselves to be involved in such a screw job. It was like they were avoiding making eye contact with the camera while they had to rationalize things to the audience. It is hard to beat the system when things are rigged against you.
ACC has had several national champions since 1990. FSU several times and Clemson a couple times. Top to bottom, maybe.an abysmal 1-9 record in bowl games this year.....................................sigh
The "one" thing the members of the ACC could use to hang their hats on was, that the ACC was it was the premier basketball conference from top to bottom, and now that is just a memory.
The last time I remember the ACC being relevant in football was 1990, the same year GT won the MNC as voted by the UPI. There were several good to great teams in the ACC in 1990 and it showed in the bowl games the ACC teams participated in.
It's not quite that bad. I don't recall when Miami/FSU joined but will include.an abysmal 1-9 record in bowl games this year.....................................sigh

The gist of my post was the league as a hold from top to bottom, sure the ACC had a team to win the MNC, but as for the entire league, how did the rest of the teams do in comparison to the team that won the MNC?It's not quite that bad. I don't recall when Miami/FSU joined but will include.
