I’m more curious as to whether they were intentional or whether our kicker injured himself and the squib was the result.

We did more than one of those stupid kick-offs. We went away from it after the big return. So it was probably a coaching decision.

Couldn’t stop them? Did you actually watch the game? UNC punted 4 times and we forced a turnover. I’d say we stopped em just fine. They have a potent offense, one of the best we will face.

We stopped them when we needed too, but that isn’t a defensive performance anyone is going to hang their hat on.

Birr did the last couple of kickoffs. Dunno what happened to Gavin. But I assume the squibs (I think we did 2) were on purpose for some unknown reason.

If I didn’t know any better I would think we changed defensive coaching in strategy right in the middle of the season.

I’m saying we stopped them 4 times and force a fumble. I’ll also say that whatever adjustments we made at halftime were great. They scored on only 2 of 6 possessions. And that’s with the offense only being on the field for 3 minutes of the 3rd quarter.

The staff decided the D needed some work defending a short field, and it appears that more work needs to be done.

UNC stopped themselves. They had running lanes between the tackles all night long, their TE was invisible to our defense, and I have no explanation for our DBs pass coverage.
All I can say is that sometimes even a blind squirrel finds a nut, and our D happened to find the proverbial nut.
