The Coastal is ours…

Roddy on ACC Radio with Wes just now said the following boneheaded things:

1 - the roughing call was 100% correct, the tackler drove him to the ground with all his weight, and Tech fans are crying for no reason

2 - the offensive PI was the ONLY bad call in the game and it cost Elko the win

He literally just ööööing said that.

The only rational thought that came out of his mouth was Elko should’ve went for 2. He’s correct about that.
the offensive PI was a good call. The roughing is justifiable but still a bad call. It’s not one you typically see. Roddy probably doesn’t particularly care for any members of the CGC staff.

Roddy is now ded to me. The Carolina Mafia has him in their spell.

Did he explain why the OPI was a bad call?

He would be wrong but I’m curious what he said.

My guess is he is going over the top to be impartial after his pro-GT (anti-Collins) rant a few weeks ago.

Not this year

The OPI call is a play that happens multiple times in every game. I want it caked in every instance (and don't like the exception for forward passes behind the line of scrimmage), but if you come at it from the "let them play" logic that would say our DPI on the last drive shouldn't have been called, then that's a justification for it being a bad call.

He may have went into detail about the OPI but I was laughing at that point. He did seem to be pro-Key. He also mentioned that BK had a come to Jesus type meeting and not only Is Knight leaving but two normal WR’s didn’t play Saturday as well, kind of insinuating he called for players to step tf up and some may have not liked it.

That's exactly what he needs to say or have said, Man up or GTFO, no more sissy ball! No more bullshit music at practice and as Deion would say get those Cellphones the F*** outta here or I will for ya.... That's the awakening this team has desperately needed for so loooong! Go Jackets!

Who were the two usual wide receivers who did not play Saturday?

Carter and Norris.
Definitely noticed the absence of Carter as he had previously been starting. Didn’t pick up on Norris so thanks for posting that…was wracking my brain for a bit.

Leo looked fantastic in his debut, and I saw a lot of potential in King as well. They both seemed to create some separation on Saturday that has been much needed.

That wasn't Leo's debut was it? I thought it was Blackstrain who was out...

So is he the one who was supposed to be the best ever or is that Blackstrain?
Both were supposed to be good. If I recall correctly (I’m sure someone will tell me if not), Blackstrain was supposed to be more polished coming in with Blackburn having an extremely high upside based on size/athleticism. He was listed as a TE coming out of HS, but we wanted him as a Calvin sized WR.
