Bama's defensive recruiting hasn't been what it was for many years. They don't have the depth they used to of 5 star after 5 star and aside from Anderson who is playing more cautiously this season for NFL riches and fear if injury, they don't have a stud on defense to compliment him. They've also missed on their recent WR evals. No elite WR or two they've had in the past.

Bama is done for the year as far as playoff contention. Last year injuries killed them in the final games but this year the cupboard is bare for offensive stars and Young is not same guy. He missed receivers all day but they said he only threw limited reps at practice all week.

LSU will be as effective as Bama would against UGAy in the SECCG. The only hope may be for Tenn to survive the final games and make the playoffs to get the Dawgs again on a neutral field.

Bullshit. That Alabama OL is suspect. Dline also not where it is usually. The thing they miss the most and what Bill oB is missing is Gibbs is also their best downfield threat. They don’t have many burners there. Gibbs ain’t the problem.

He’s tied himself to pedestrian coordinators that are uninspiring and obviously getting outcoached. If he chooses, he will clean house, bring in 2 new guys, and continue to bring in top 3 recruiting classes. His demise is premature, but he could choose to hang up the whistle.

It is true his receivers are not great and the D line is no where near what it used to be. But, there’s still plenty of talent.

I honestly think this could possibly be Nick Saban's last year. This is the first Alabama team I can remember seeing with absolutely zero discipline. The lack of a playmaker at receiver, that's such an excuse. That team top to bottom is still probably the #1 or #2 team in the country from a talent perspective. They just don't give a öööö. That's going around too. I don't think Ohio State looks like they give a öööö either. This could be the world we live in with college football post-NIL.

I suppose that's true. But back then, I felt bad because most of these kids didn't have any money. Now a lot of them (hell maybe most) make more than I do, so I don't think you get to use any excuses for taking plays and games off.

Bama's biggest weakness: no great WR. Killing them in close games to not have a go-to guy. The defense is definitely not up to typical bama standard but the lack of a true WR is killer. Far from the Jeudy-Ruggs-Smith-Metchie-Cooper-Jones-Waddle-Ridley days.

It's worth noting that the current Alabama football roster has a whole two - 2 - SR WRs. The numerous rest are all JRs, SOPH, or Frosh.

They will almost all be back but who will step in to fill Bryce Young's shoes?

Catering to the self entitled. The current landscape let's quitters and guys not having there way able to part ways easily. Should they given the amount of money thrown around? Sure I guess. Lots of young people don't take hard criticism well at all, they see it as an offense to them rather than using it to better themselves. It's gotta be hard for hard nosed coaches to get the best out of players.

On top of that college football is just flawed, theres no real caps on anything, one reason I'm becoming more of an NFL fan as the years pass.

Even by the sub-lowly standards of ncaa and cfb leaders, who have done some stupid öööö over the years, the 12 team playoff takes the cake. It is a worse idea than hiring Bernie sanders to be your tax planner.

Think about the alabama-lsu or ugag-tn game yesterday. They wouldn’t have meant anything to anyone other than maybe lsu as 3 losses might have kept them out. Tn should have played their backups and mailed it in. And if smart, why get yourself an extra game in the sec championship and get injured. Just wait it out as an 11-1 tn being 4-5th ranked team and stay healthy.

The 12 team playoff is a great way to make the regular season semi-meaningless and resemble college basketball. Nice move, dickweeds.
