The son of one of GT's all time Greats!

I have heard grumblings that he is not the most accommodating to former players. Mostly 2nd hand, so I don't necessarily consider it absolute fact.

Steven Sylvester and Tevin Washington probably think CPJ is a dickhead. Just a guess, so I don't necessarily consider it absolute fact.

they played for him. doesn't take a genius to figure out it might not be the same for guys who did not.

I have four kids who are öööö proud where their parents went to school and all of them want/wanted to go there because of the history/legacy/respect/earning potential after graduation among other things. Oldest daughter graduated in 15' in Industrial Design and now gainfully employed by IBM, Harrison, it wasn't meant to be but will graduate in May at The Citadel (which is a öööö fine school) John Henry really wants to go there so we shall see and Julia (it's just not a good fit for her but she loves the YJ's more than anything and has given her teachers crap every year when football comes around. So yeah for some kids it's about following in your parents foot steps because they see the amount of success that their parents have had and they want a piece of that. Olivia is actually 4th generation of her mothers side because my parents didn't go to Tech but they were Tech fans long before I took my first breath. So forgive me if I find your statement short sighted.

Great post Mover...thank God for ex-GT athletes like yourself.

I was at GT when you were - didn't play FB - and my 3 kids will have a hard time choosing anywhere else.
FB roadtrips from Savannah mean we're basically all-in for most of a weekend. That adds up. They're 11, 7, and 5, and give dwag fans crap every chance they get.

Off the top of my head I can think of Peyton Manning and Barry Sanders Jr. Granted, I know next to nothing about their recruitment processes, Eli did go to Ole Miss, and it's being reported that Sanders is now transferring to his dad's school (the only reason that example was fresh on my mind).

Peyton didn't go to Ole Miss because they were on Probation otherwise he said he would have.

I know in the early 2000's we wouldn't give Joe Harris son a look and he ended up being a starter at South Carolina.

I thought Peyton went to UT bc of Cutcliffe and that's why Eli went to Ole Miss too. They wanted a great QB coach and they got it.

I was at GT with Mover as well. I now have one son who is a GT alum and a daughter who chose a different school, but still bleeds old gold and white.
