I am watching Mississippi State at LSU. In his first game, Mike Leach has another coach's players running a new system and leading the defending national champions 44-34 with 3:07 left in the game. They might still lose, but they sure look like they know what they're doing. That's an example of good coaching, and it makes all the excuses for what we watched today at Syracuse seem lame.

Did MSU transition from being a TO team with a bare cupboard?! Plus, Where's Joe Burrow? I Love Leach, but let's not christen him, just yet! Give Collins a chance, damn it!

Leach is a great coach, but he would struggle mightily with CPJ’s personnel. On second thought, maybe he wouldn’t, he wouldn’t do it.

The cupboard wasn’t / isn’t barren. Last year we were in position to win late in 5 games. We managed to win 3 so the talent is there.

This year, 3 times we’ve been within 1 score in the middle of the 2H and only won one of them.

I agree, but all of the distraction stuff this staff is constantly pushing is starting to grind my gears.
I'll concede that. I know we wanted a coach that would sell his soul to recruit and we are getting that - but, at what cost? I don't know but I am willing to wait another year (the end of season 3) before I come to a hard and set opinion on the matter. Yes, some things are concerning, but there is nothing I see that isn't able to be fixed (turnovers, penalties, and goofy play calls). I just hope no one thinks I am a Collins hand-jobber because of my patience in the matter.

It just seems that the current players are getting a little bit too much fun and not enough business. The coaches should be crawling all of their asses tomorrow and early into the week about all of the issues relating to lack of focus.

All of the distraction stuff is what is drawing the recruits to Tech. We all knew this was a 3-year rebuild at minimum. We only have 9 seniors on the ATL. We’re playing a lot of freshmen and sophomores that didn’t get spring ball to get acclimated to the college speed of the game.

This is true. But it’s unbalanced. We are too focused on looking good rather than playing good.

I remember when I thought dabo was an asshat clown who couldn’t coach

I don't remember any Clemson team looking as fundamentally unsound and poorly coached as we did today. I'm pulling for Collins. I was excited after the FSU game. But, he's blown all the good will he got from that, which us really sad. Remember, recruits want to have a chance to be coached up and put in big games. It affects their careers. This team doesn't show one sign of being well coached. Not one. I hope it improves, before it gets too late.
