And if we don’t scoop and score an onside kick we are never in it. We were technically sound but outmatched. We did enough to keep it close, but not enough to win. IIWII
 
Anyone watch his post game interview? You can tell he just wants to throw a chair through the wall but is doing his best to stay calm. I've rarely seen him this irritated after a loss.

I dunno. Feel like I saw that every game in 2015. Man does not like losing but sometimes clearly doesn’t know what he could’ve done differently in game.

Lastly after the rain, which you have to expect, you have to play Matthew Jordan. Run over Shamire every single play! Straight ahead, as they have the same poor footing that we had.
I am so sick of being able predict end of game bad strategy by pj.

As to end defense, with crappy field and a rookie qb, you have to make them best you with talent, not virtual handoffs that my 60 year old wife and I could do. It's sloppy wet, why give them ten yards cushion to pick up steam and roll over your players?

Pretty obvious they were devoid of a strategy to deal with the weather. Looked like a ship without a rudder. Miami got lucky in that respect but yeah it has been known to just up and rain in Miami.

Not saying this type of change is required, but remember similar things being said when many wanted CCG replaced.

As to something others have posted on this thread, injuries happen in football. Just ask miami - they had a far worse injury situation than we did.
 
It just isn’t this post game presser, but almost everyone. Smarmy feeling. Almost like, “I am only here because I have to be. Don’t care that it is part of my job or that I am representing Ga Tech,”

WTTE - “what were you thinking, or trying to do, when they kept completing those bubble screens?” Answer - “stop the bubble screens.”

Getting old because it is the same for good / bad / indifferent game outcomes.

When CG was here, beating Miami was a fluke. When PJ is here, beating Miami is an expectation regardless of the fact that we haven't done so regularly

3 yr win streak, but 7 of 8. This years loss hurt because we lead so much of the game.

It was a horrible combination of the BC Ireland game, Pitt last year, and UT this year. I hate losing to UM.

Edit: Forgot to add the MTSU game. The bubble screen fiasco had a definite mtsu feel..

I was wondering the same. I was thinking we should have just QB followed him on the last drive. But when they showed the huddle, I didn't see him. Maybe he was injured.

I thought we were going to beat them yesterday, but I think it’s a bridge too far to say that with Johnson beating Miami is expected. I did think yesterday was our day though

This is the game where losing Mills cost us the win. Quade just isn't at the level of Mills and Benson. We needed a strong inside runner once the field conditions took out the pitchman and the rocket toss.

I remember when we played USC in El Paso that the Trojans didn’t have a strategy to deal with the wind.
 
CPJ is a fine coach. I would give him a B+ for his time here. However, I really wish we had a shotgun based 2 minute offense to use on 3rd and long, when we are totally shutdown or when the field is inundated. We have to find a way to give the QB a little time to throw.
