If we were to lose, it would not be worse than 2019. I don’t imagine Kirby being dumb enough to keep his foot on the gas if they’re up by 4 touchdowns in the 4th since they would have nothing to gain and injuries to worry about before SEC game. And if they did my recommendation would be to injure as many dwags as possible at the expense of penalties.
Actually that’s my recommendation for the whole game.
But here’s what’s really gonna happen:
It’s November 26, 2021. 11-0 dawgs come to Atlanta on a rainy Saturday morning to face their 5-6 rival on the flats. They’re already making their “we run this state” signs and thinking about the upcoming title game with Bama in Atlanta a week later and then off to playoffs. Before kickoff they do their woof woof and getting into Tech players faces to show them who’s boss. The first drive Zamir White fumbles the ball which gets returned for a Tech touchdown. Zamir White is injured. The second drive Tech holds them to a field goal. Tech’s first drive doesn’t go anywhere and have to punt. Uga third drive Bennett gets sacked and fumbles the ball. The ball is scooped up and returned to uga 10. Uga holds Tech to a field goal. Bennett is shaken. Tech holds them to one more field goal in the heavy rain. Tech is up 10-6 at the end of second quarter. Tech fans can’t believe it. They say yeah they’re gonna rape us in second half. We’re not gonna last. How is the defense holding up like this but lost to Virginia Tech says somebody on stingtalk.
Rain gets even harder as uga kicks the ball to Tech for the first possession of second half. Sims throws an interception right off the bat and uga returns it for a touchdown. You can hear the groans from Tech fans for a split second before it get loud with cheers and barks from the dwags. Beej starts a thread on stingtalk about how he was right about Sims throwing interceptions. Second drive Sims keeps handing the ball off and Tech rushes for 60 yards before Gibbs pushes through and gets tackled right at the goal line. Ruling on the field is touchdown. They review it and the refs say he was down before he broke the plane and they overturn it. Stadium is filled with woof woof from uga horde and boos from 8500 Tech fans. Tech kicks a field goal and it’s 13-13. Uga has the ball and they decide to keep it on the ground. They’re deep into Tech territory when James Cook goes down. He’s hurt bad. Somewhere at BDS you can hear a bald Turkish guy hollering “suck it!” They try a field goal after being stopped on the 20 but it’s no good. Tech has the ball and on the first play Sims gets hurt after being sacked. He walks himself to the sideline but is clearly having trouble. Jordan Yates comes in and produces a total of 2 yards and gets sacked twice. Tech has to punt.
It’s the fourth quarter uga has the ball down on 20 yard line with 2 minutes to go. They run the ball over and over again until they break the plane. Uga touchdown. In a dumbfounding moment Kirby decides to go for 2 but they get stuffed. Wow, Kirby’s even dumber than our Clown in Chief says Akinji to Flunkout. It’s 19-13. Uga faithful are still confident this game is theirs, they’re already chanting S-E-C S-E-C!
It’s the last drive of the game and Tech gets the ball back on the 25 at kickoff. Yates gets sacked twice and goes back to 16 yard line for 3rd and 19. We can’t watch it, it’s painful. 26 seconds left and Sims comes in and connects with Malachi for 75 yards. It’s first and goal but Tech is out of time outs. When Sims spikes the ball it’s only 3 seconds left. Refs adjust the game clock to 2 seconds. They line up and uga is showing blitz. Sims gets the snap and is looking around but nobody is open. He almost gets sacked but spins out. All of a sudden the line that let in sack after sack all game makes a big enough hole for Sims to punch through and he dashes into end zone. Touchdown Tech. Georgia Tech 19 uga 19. Watch us miss the extra point says a typical Tech fan in the stands. But the extra point is good. Tech fans are grabbing their brethren by the shoulders and shaking them like coconut trees and hollering. Flunkout starts spinning his chair and almost falls off the upper north again, but he’s saved by GT Chief. Student section is pouring onto the field. Georgia Tech just beat number one uga in Atlanta for the first time in 20 years and the game goes into history books with the title “Revenge on the Flats”
