Todd also out according to AJC

Sounds like nothing in his department was handled as sensitive in last 36 hours. He’s been tighter lipped than anyone else there the last 48 hours. But you don’t advertise the AD job on LinkedIn. No way that’s real. It’s some good trolling.
It’s real dude. I searched for Georgia Tech athletics open jobs.

It has to be posted. The head coach position will be posted too

I have no problem with him taking a flyer on CGC. Coaches were not exactly lining up to take over GT. And I had no problem with the idea of a seven year contract considering the turnaround could take time. But it was a firing offense to lock us into $3 million a year for seven years for a "flyer".

You have to give yourself some kind of out if the guy is a world class laughingstock failure, and the candidate has to accept that. If he cannot, then he is not actually confident in his own coaching abilities.

Second, this edge boondoggle is beyond belief when we cannot field a quality football team or consistent basketball team. Having a brand new Edge is a nice to have, not a need to have. We NEED to have a competitive football and basketball team. Spend the 82 million on that, not 1000 square foot offices and mahogany desks.
Well said and exactly right, rebuild the product on the field, make GT football exciting and fun to watch like it has
been in the past and that will take care of any improvements in the facilities. My first enhancement would for GT
to go back to an all-natural turf at BDS,

Best damn Crew post right here. My sentiments exactly.

I thought we told Collins yesterday.

I bet he saw news reports yesterday and went from Waffle House to Waffle House last night in a desperate panic trying to figure out what was going on.
He told them that they needed to think about it overnight before he gave them an answer.

I agree wholeheartedly with this part of your post. First and foremost rebuild the product on the field first, make going to a GT game exciting and fun, do this first and the rest will take care of itself! The very first enhancement I would like to see is a return to the all-natural turf that or former Head Coach and AD decided to replace with this ugly looking pro-turf, yikes!

I am no shocked. Bad choices should bring about consequences. Hopefully the next AD will have a bit of common sense and ability to know sports.
…and negotiate contracts that are more beneficial to GT than they are the coach

+1 Scorched earth. Burn it all down, starting with the hideous green rug they laid on Grant Field.

I have noticed, way too many times, our players inexplicably losing their footing in a cloud of dust. #dumptherugtoo!

Mike Castle a good candidate?
I'm not sure if he's ready for AD position but we should definitely bring him back if possible in some capacity. He seemed to be the only one over there getting anything done.
