Transfer Portal Central

I was told by an Alabama fan that Taulia is not the talent that Tua is and that he likely was not going to start at Alabama. Being this Alabama fan is not your typical over the top Bama fan and isn't overbearing about it, I tend to believe him. Said that Taulia is smaller than Tua

Easy thing to say after Tua’s done what he’s done. Taulia is a good player and is smaller. He will get a shot to play and show his talents- particularly because JJ is dwag doodoo

Didn't say he isn't good. Just probably not 5* Alabama good. He'd probably be a good QB or starter for 80 FBS teams right now. Alabama just pulls in an insane amount of talent. Apparently, according to my Bama friend, they have a 5* heir apparent on the roster or coming in. I don't follow their recruiting so I have no idea who it would be

Brenton King in the portal. Good luck to him. Didn't think it merited a new thread.

Was he still on scholly? If so that’s definitely one we needed back. Not because of his performance (which was meh) but because we were gonna have a handful of kickers competing and we can’t have multiple specialists taking up room unless they are absolutely worthy.

He was not really being counted towards scholarships anymore. Hard to imagine he'll be playing anywhere next year, much less on scholarship. But he does want to grad school.

He was on last year. I imagine this was a foregone conclusion, though, so I dunno if he was factored into more recent counts.

Edit: answered above

Yeah. Kicks are kicks, so transferring down a division doesn't really seem like an answer like it would be for a non-specialist. I don't begrudge him putting his name out there and seeing what happens, though.

Best of luck to him.

However, 9 for 17 ain't good. We needed a different guy kicking this year anyway.

Wasn't he the one that blew the Tennessee game? Buh bye.
That was Davis. He missed a FG for 24-7 lead, and the one that got blocked at the end of regulation was going to miss significantly wide left too, but it was too low to get past the line.

Really hope Collins has something up his sleeve. Outside of Butker, and whenever Scott Blair played against Clemson, the kicking game has been garbage for a long time.

I mean the kicking game hasn't been good since Butker, but in the last 20 years, it hasn't been bad at all. There are some good college kickers,
Scott Blair, Travis Bell, Harrison Butker, Luke Manget, and Dan Burnett. They accounted for what, over 75% of the seasons since 2000?

Butker is the only player of the group from the last decade, but yeah the ones you mentioned made up most of the 2000-2010 kicks. But one reliable kicker over the course of a decade is enough to call it a poor kicking game.

You included Scott Blair, so I figured that would include the decade prior. But whatever. Kicking game sucks right now.
