Transfer Portal Central

Lucas transferring. Not at all unsurprising if he wants to play.

 
yeah I hope he can get healthy and have a good couple of years playing. I would have thought he was close to graduating... or maybe he did graduate. a bit unclear from the tweet, but hope so.

High academic lineman from our own backyard (Norcross: GAC) who had offers from Vandy, Duke, Northwestern (along with uga, Miami and Tennessee) and apparently not one from us.

Staff isn't waiting to fix the O-line, that's for sure. Cochran is a 3 year starter and a preseason all SEC going into last year.

I’ve never understood why we couldn’t get more GAC players. They should be a natural for us. Good academics and ball.

"Hey, I just checked the transfer portal and there's a guy that could give us some real depth at QB next year. Lucas Johnson is his name. Doesn't have a lot of experience but great measurables. He's already in Atlanta so we seem like a natural fit. Anybody know anything about him?"

I think we will now. Nathan Burton played at GACS (he was a beast too..played QB, WR, punt-returner and CB throughout his career there). I would assume that pipeline is going to open up.

Chris Hinton, ex Colt, Falcon, and others just put son #2 through GAC and is going to Stanford. His first son is at Michigan. I'll bet dad is glad someone else is now feeding this guys.
