Transfer Portal Tracker

This isn't a good move for his future NFL prospects. He isn't even our #1 receiver and I doubt he is going to become anyone else's with his size and tendency to drop passes.
Maybe that's why he's trying to get the biggest bag possible now -- getting rich in the NFL far from a lock.

Ahmarean Brown 2.0

He may end up with more NIL to start but he isn't going to be a bigger part of any offense than he is at GT. This isn't a good move for his future NFL prospects. He isn't even our #1 receiver and I doubt he is going to become anyone else's with his size and tendency to drop passes.
I don’t think this is fair. He is our #1 and his drops were last season. He was tight this year. He was under utilized this year secondary to the limited passing attack with injuries to Haynes. He is way more important and valuable than you are giving credit for. Fortunately we have good depth. I just hope Malik doesn’t follow suit. They both tweeted soon after the 2023 season that they’re both coming back.

Singleton will go somewhere like Ole Miss, Auburn or Florida. He will deal with inexperienced QB's(besides SC) and I really think he will regret this decision.

He will get 25 touches and hit the portal again. In our scheme with our experience and Buster calling plays i really think he could have worked his way into a top-75 pick next season. Oh well, more NIL for the next guy

This hurts. I can't imagine him having a better on-field situation anywhere else. It's gotta be the dolla dolla bills. And I'm not denigrating that. I'd leave my current job for better money. Most of us would.
Money is just one part of a job. Working conditions, chance for advancement and the overall situation all play into a reason to switch or stay at a job.

Rutherford is our #1. If we needed a catch the ball most often was going to Rutherford.

I wish he would stay. I am not saying he isn't valuable to GT. I am saying he is more valuable to us than he is to most schools on the field.

Hope I'm wrong but I have a feeling he is going to end up at a big name school and isn't going to get the opportunities that he is getting at GT.

From what "rumor" is....He asked for more Money from Tech and they said no. If that's the case, then he better land somewhere better (which will be hard) because it tends to leave a nasty taste if you say "I'm leaving" and "Oh I changed my mind"..... If $$$ was in fact the issue and he finds out he can't go get it somewhere else, it'll be a terrible business decision for him

So by my math we are now losing 4 WR (at least) we are going to need to pound the portal for (2) or so

I would imagine he already knows what some other school is willing to pay him. These guys all have agents and I'm sure they are taking calls all the time.

No question...but you gotta consider who's an agent vs who's an AGENT. I'm sure there's a lot of misinformation and verbal language. Sort of like my salary requirements are "xyz" only to find out later that you're really getting the low end from from the new company. People can promise the moon, I just hope some of these kids are getting everything in writing. See UF for example

Can’t blame any SA for taking the most $$$. At that age, most of us would do the same damn thing if given an opportunity to set yourself up financially with an NFL career more than likely not happening.

Not just at his age. If you offered everyone on this board significantly more money to switch companies...vast majority of us are taking it.

This wasn't his most intelligent move. There's guys who aren't as fast as him who create more separation and do more after the catch. Let's go get a couple of those and a big X receiver and watch our passing game upgrade.
Exactly what I'm think. He was a baller and fast, but he isn't irreplaceable.

Not without considering location and organization stability. In the case of players the degree value should also factor in. State taxes are another consideration.
