Transparency with King status

Maybe we shouldn't have played Philo that one series against VMI. If he plays from here on out he won't be able to redshirt this season.
Or it's a clue that King will be back.

I don't have any inside info but I feel like King will be back for Miami.

Brother he’s nowhere on any draft lists. He’s a fighter, but he’s hurt.
Business decision comment relates to he has 1 year of eligibility left. Think Dillon Gabriel OU to Oregon type move. King will have options and a decision to make come December. Hopefully in the end the decision is to finish his college career at GT.

While it’s certainly a strategy, stringing everyone along about King’s condition for seven? weeks would be pretty cowardly if Key knows he’s out for the season.

King is a fighter. I wouldn’t disparage him.

Key has been intentionally coy. He has said in the past that he has no reason to share injury updates with the public. He has said he expect King to be back. Maybe he won’t recover and can’t come back, but in no way do I believe Key knows King is done for the year and is now just lying. Based on the limited publicly available information, the only inference I can make is that Haynes throws for 400 and runs for 130 against NcST.

Five weeks of rust would make this unlikely.
