Good lord of he's fully recovered we have another weapon

Of course, he's a freshman with little practice time, but I can hope

And why would Suddes have input into who plays? Am I missing something? Suddes has input into the ATL chart??

General manager bruh
I may be out of my element but pretty sure GMs don't get that involved in who plays on a given Sunday or Saturday. Unless there is a strategic reason to play someone who otherwise would not see action.

I don't have names but let's say for the sake of discussion if someone has already played in 4 games (and only 4 games to this point), it would be a decision that would impact future recruiting if you decide to play him again this year. In that sense, you'd want Suddes involved.

I have no idea. I was been facetious.

I'm still a little puzzled about CGC consulting with Suddes, or needing to.
He doesn't already have a feel or a knowledge of who has or hasn't played? And shouldn't the position coaches have a say in this, input on what guy might benefit from it and who might not?

Suddes probably tracks who has played and how many games. Do you expect the head coach to track that? We need a CEO, not a micro manager. He has accountants take care of it all.

We need all hands on deck to win Games, winning Games is the most critical thing, that and playing crisper, more fundamentally sound Defense.

We have to change the "old 1980s &90s" mindset, when you step up and start Recruiting Serious FB Players with NFL Potential, then RS'ing means next to nothing.

Other than QBs, when is the last time you heard Ohio State, Oklahoma University, LSU, Bama, UGA, Clemson, ND, make a big deal or sweat the details over RS'ing any position players, that weren't injured?

ans:
Maybe 20 years ago(?), if a player can help he plays, period, hard stop, end of story.

If the Players pans out he's gone to the NFL after his RS-Soph or RS-Jr season anyway, and you never get that 5th Senior anyway, that's philosophy #1.

Philosophy #2 is this, more and more HS players are getting higher level instruction and development before they get to college, they lift year round, they only play 1 Sport in HS, so if you are recruiting the Players with the right Talent level, you'll have a pipeline of Talent to make up for Players leaving.

An example of #2: would you rather have our 5th & 6th year Seniors playing OLine or would you rather have the "backup" T-Fr & T-Sophs at a ND, Ohio State, OU, if you had to win a Game this season?

In summary, "getting old" is paying less dividends than it did back in the 80s & 90s, in 2021 simply get better FB Players that are more Athletic and better overall Athletes.

"Well, we know we only won three games again, but we were able to get some of our Freshmen playing time in the last four games that will make us better next year."

That seems like a good thing, if it happens. We have gotten some decent play at WR with freshmen. It would be nice just to get guys in and play it out.
