Turf

We have Shaw Legion NXT from what I can find. Probably not good diplomatically to dump Shaw for another turf. The Titans are moving to Matrix Helix. The Benz uses Fieldturf, which appears to be the most widely used turf in the NFL. Jerry Jones palace in Dallas uses Matrix RealGrass. There are more turf products on the market than I thought.

I have a buddy that is a VP at a grass fiber plant. Hot industry right now.

Typically, streets, stadiums, courts, etc, are named for great coaches, players, and administrators. Georgia Tech should honor TStan by naming all of the game day portable toilets outside of BDS as “TStans.”
~”Hang on, let me make a TStan stop before we head to Yellow Jacket Alley.”~
TurdStan, anyone?

If we’re talking about new turf for BDS, might as well think BIG—‘old gold’-colored field with hexagonal-patterned end zones, amirite?

Our local hs uses field turf. Only reason I know is that sometimes a team traveling to the Benz will practice on our hs field because of the playing surface. Not sure why GT can't afford something a local school district can.

We can afford FieldTurf. Shaw has a long history of hiring engineers from GT. In fact, the Edge building is the JC "Bud" Shaw building. I'm nearly certain Shaw had the connections to get us to buy their product

Do we have the best product available from Shaw?

Not sure if it's the premium rug, but former Shaw CEO & Ch of the Board Vance Bell, GT FB Letterwinner, got GT & TStan a good price.

Shaw employs a lot of GT alums in Dalton, a town that has been historically a very UGAg town.

Do we have the best product available from Shaw?

I am fairly certain we do.

Shaw Sports Turf’s newest fiber system. Including the exemplary ThunderBolt Fiber, Legion NXT is a hybrid system that offers realistic aesthetics with an electrifying degree of durability. This system is built for strength, built for pushing the envelope and providing endurance through even the toughest of match-ups.

It is designed to last 30+ years; so learn to love it.

Quick. Give me some adjectives to describe our new "cutting edge" turf.
