Kirby will keep it respectable so hiring Key will sound like a good idea
Who would you hire? Chadwell I guess? Not a bad hire. But Chadwell is no more of a guarantee than Key. Key has at least played Div 1/P5. And he was a very good player at that level.

And a ööööty OL coach.

If key and smart are somewhat friends combined with them likely looking past us and wanting to prevent injuries especially on a wet field, +36 seems like a good bet

No money line, but you can get 100 to 1 that tech gets to 20 points first, +1800 10 points, and +5000 15 points

Or having his hands tied behind his back by Collins.
If he had his hands tied by that guy then he should never be the GT coach. Seriously, the fact that none of these GT alum/former players o his staff stopped that guy from destroying their program is enough for me to say clean house. Let the next GT family coaching tree be guys from the Nesbitt/Roddy era (If not the Goose himself). Actions speak louder to me and Key remained silent for 3.5 years while we were sold Waffle House and eliteness.

I have my issues with the guys who were part of the three-ring staff, that video of the coach sitting slumped on his ass while the team agonized around him and walked away from him, is burned into my ööööing brain. Though the name of the coach apparently is not.

But what could they do about Collins? Go to Stansbury, who made it very clear that Gefof was 'his man' and bet his job on it? Anything they did would have made things worse if it had any effect at all.

I strongly suspect they went to Stansbury and he shut them down,

Are you keeping lists of posters again?

StingTalk Leadership 101: What to do when you disagree with your boss?

Step 1: Go above his head to his boss to try to get him fired
Step 2: If that doesn't work, start sabatoging from within -- who cares how your boss wants things run, you just ignore him and tell your players to do so as well
Step 2a: Ideally you can foment insurrection with other employees and lead a mutiny
Step 3: If the above fails, simply quit. This is a surefire tactic used by all great leaders of men when they're in a difficult situation and aren't granted total control over everything

StingTalk Leadership 101 Inteview Corrolary:

If you are interviewing a candidate and at any point his answer to the above question involves continuing to do the job he was hired for or platitudes about not giving up just because you're in a bad situation, then end the interview immediately. You don't need that öööö in an employee.

My magic 8 ball says a win is doubtful. Kidding aside. I don't think we win. However; it's the manner of how we lose, that is what interests me. Do we give them a fight or do we fold like a lawn chair? So far, I have seen fight in these kids. If anything Key has them geared and wanting to play.

For those arguing about whether Tech beats the spread, it's a dumb argument. Let's be honest here, Georgia can easily beat the spread if they wanted to.

Fact is they have no interest in running up the score and just want to get out of there without any injuries. They will be playing their backups for most of the game.

Wouldn't the same have applied last year?

Wow, surprised at that. With how well we played against UNC, I thought it would be +45 at least.
