UGA just got SCREWED

If LSU is going to the national title, then the Rose Bowl couldn't invite UGA unless the Sugar Bowl was willing to release them, which they wouldn't under any circumstance.
 
Don't those folks know who UGA is?

They must not read the recruiting rags and preseason polls or they certainly would have picked Nadlickin' Nation! The unmitigated gall! a Confluence of ignorance! Oh the shame of it all.

I appreciated that Richt was standing in front of a picture from a UGA-SC game.
 
Too bad that a real team, decent enough to beat them, won't be playing them. Then again, they can't win in this game and that's pretty funny too.

No. The Rose lost OSU, and the Sugar lost LSU.

The Rose had first pick on a team to replace OSU, and they chose Illinois as an at-large BCS team. The Sugar had second pick and picked UGA as an at-large BCS team to replace LSU.

The Rose did pick Illinois over UGA.

they are in a BCS bowl right?

no team that doesn't win their division, or conference, should be in a nat title game.

So I don't think they got screwed really.

UGA is loaded and should beat a no-name team like Hawaii by 30+ points.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the Rose would have to first ask the Sugar to pick an eligible at-large SEC team, even though they had the first pick. It's an assurance to bowls (mainly the Rose) that they'll always have first pick to keep their historical conference selections.
 
They got screwed because they have to play Hawaii. Wouldn't you be pissed if we went to the Orange Bowl and then found out we had to play Hawaii? If you lose the game, your screwed.

honestly, if GT went to a BCS game WITHOUT winning their conf, I could give a crap if we were playing a middle school team; I would be stoked.

If the basis of your program getting screwed is making it to a BCS game but you don't like your opponent, then my friend 1) I want to be that good 2) I am jealous

Hawai'i will beat UGAy. I'm tired of everyone taking shots at them; people were saying the same thing about Boise State last year and guess what? They beat Oklahoma!

Win the game - who cares? they played Hawaii
Lose the game - that sucks. They played Hawaii
