UGa recruiting [scoff]

Just picked up a commitment from Ogletree, best safety in the country. :eek5:

Try and scoff at that dorks. The gnats will never and I mean never consistently get that type of talent. You will get one or two a year (Burnette and Dwyer) but not top to bottom sick talent. So enjoy your time in the sun. This to shall pass.

Goodnight gnats!

I will take our recruiting class over UGA's every year regardless of the rankings...if anything just because I like the student-athlete that makes up our classes.

...the fact that PJ will be leading us to wins over a clueless Mark Richt every year just makes it even better.

Washaun Ealey can't spell his own name...yet he somehow passed UGA's entrance requirements.

Those are the kind of kids UGA adores and GT will never have.

Ahhhhhahahahahaha....Can this one tackle???? He does know he will be playing for Willie right? I hope his @ss likes the color of yellow. Bc he's gonna have a yellow cleat inserted up it for the next four years come every Nov. See...we have the better coach, and we put up over 400 yds rushing in his first year on your "vaunted" D comprised of top notch talent, with a bunch of Freshman and Sophomores, mostly three stars. I feel sorry for you and your delusional little reality you live in. Heres to your upcoming 6 loss season. Whats the good word.....B!TCH!

It's tough for the UGAggers to come to terms with the fact that they are getting ready to be owned for a VERY long time...

Ogletree is a great HS DB.

Just think how great he'll be once Willie teaches him his patented "body bump" style of tackling and the ever popular "nudge the RB out of bounds". This kid's gonna be outstanding once he gets the kind of superior tutelage that only Willie can provide!

:laugher:.

And, if it turns out those maneuvers do not work, St. Richt will have everyone huddle together for a quick, WTF just happened session. I believe it goes something like this:

Richt--Hey, Reshad, you were amazing on that highlight video your sophomore year of high school. What happened?

Jones--:ugh:

Coach Willie told me I can't use my arms to tackle!

U[sic]GA is already used to being owned by UF. Now, we're joining in.

At least they can console themselves with recruiting rankings.

Aren't they bragging that you have to have almost a 4.0 to get in UGAG these days?

"to" is a preposition: "Go TO the classroom"
"too" is an adverb: "Learn to read too."
"two" is a noun... : "Two are on the field"
.... or an adjective: "There are two linebackers."

We learned how to diagram sentences in Fifth Grade, and I'm from Alabama! What were you doing?

I see more and more public comments like this from UGA fans these days. Could it be you're a little worried? By the way, just in case you didn't take Literature either, when you lose with vastly superior talent, it's called IRONY.

This is solely due to the fact that every high school kid in the state is rabid to go there.

Taking a step back, and taking my gold glasses off, I'll admit ugag is a fairly decent school, but it's really no better than 100 other decent schools in the nation. But you will not believe the way high school kids and parents think of it. I'm three years removed from high school, and people in this state have a serious love affair with that school that's not natural. Half my graduating class that didn't get in had dreams of transferring there. My high school counselor called it "the Harvard of the South". Two years before I graduated, the valedictorian and salutatorian were twins that ended up going there. It's insane the amount of fawning and slobbering that goes on for that place.

Now with the gold color glasses back on, it's a cesspool that pollutes the face of the earth.

Actually I know the kind of thing you're talking about. I'm from Florida and most of the smarter people at my school went to UF and all I could think of when they told was "WHY?". In my mind, with their intelligence I couldn't fathom why they wouldn't try to go elsewhere. I mean it's a fine school and all but if you actually know what you're going to college for then there are plenty of places with specialties that are better (such as GT and engineering). It seemed to me a very 'generic' school except for medicine and journalism, and even in those fields there are better schools in the country.

I lived in Georgia for 32 years...and have now lived in Florida for 8 years. I can definitely say that I am more impressed with what goes in and comes out of UF than UGA. I would liken UGA more to FSU in terms of student product.

Additionally of note, on my 18th year in the biz world full-time....I can tell you that there is something special about the folks that come from the smaller schools, on average, than the large state U's. I have also found the larger Big 10 schools to turn out better biz leaders than the SEC schools.

It seems I am always impressed with those from GT, Wake, Vandy, Duke, UNC, UVA, any Ivy League school....and some of the smaller private schools up the mid-Atlantic and northeast. Maybe it is just the folks I run into...but I doubt it...the folks from these schools just seem better equipped to be problem solvers and fiercely attack issues...the first to volunteer and take initiative.

Keep in mind I am talking business leaders...I am not talking about lawyers, doctors, and other specialties that I really have no clue about.

From all of my limited experience, the key word to use for the difference between people who go to the smaller schools or out of state schools is "ambition".

Be careful not to confuse a school which is hard to get into with a good school.

The curriculum has changed little at UGAy in the past 20 years. Most of the majors are a joke.

I think the Board of Regents was going to look into altering the curriculum a few years ago because a study had ranked UGAy students 113 out of 115 in amount of study time (only averaging 12 hrs/wk). I never heard what changes were made in the curriculum.

"The Harvard of the South?" OMG! My best friends little brother graduated high school as the salutatorian. Fairly bright kid. I tried to get it through his head, that Tech was where he needed to go. He ended up at UGAg.
