UGAg's season is getting ready to head south

Re: UGAg\'s season is getting ready to head south

Hey Jake and sfalco,

Can't you see we are having a family meeting here? Why are you guys even thinking about Tech right now?

Good game. Now, get lost!

Re: UGAg\'s season is getting ready to head south

Obviously I was incorrect about my prediction. I just didn't know how bad Clausen really is. I guess the second half comeback at LSU was really a fluke. The UF, UGA, 1st half of the LSU game, and the UAB game are indicative of the true Vols team. Their offense clearly stinks!

I don't want any UGAg fan to crow about how good Shockley is. I can't wait until Tenuta gets his hands on him. He is the weakest UGAg qb in a decade and this team is a paper tiger...

Re: UGAg\'s season is getting ready to head south

Again, I wish you were right, just as I wish you had been right about last nights' game. But I'm afraid you're not. Ugag will most likely lose no more than one game this year.

gt

you just don't learn, didn't you just make a foolish guess over uga and now you want to do it again-
--learn this-good players and good coaching make for great teams, uga MAY lose one this yr
I don't like it (and you might not)but unless schockley gets hurt, bet on it.

Re: UGAg\'s season is getting ready to head south

Shockley looks to be the real deal. He is a consistent winner and passer. Watching him last night, he played well. Sure he made some mistakes, but what qb doesn't..especially one like Shockley in only his 5th game start. Damn Dawgs!!!

gtyellowjackets, we have to wait and see regarding

Tenuta and Shockley. I cannot definitively state that I think you are wrong because UT didn't blitz him a lot and the UGA OL did well protecting him. Tenuta will bring the pressure from several different directions.

It will be interesting to see if Mark Richt will have him ready for the GT defense by the end of the season.

Well, at least give a clue as to what you mean. Seriously.

Re: UGAg\'s season is getting ready to head south

The sad truth is that Ugag under Richt has become one of the nation's elite. I think I heard that this year's senior class is the winningest class in Ugag history. Two SEC championships in the last few years, too. Prior to this season, many here (including me) predicted this year would be a very down year for the mutts with the loss of alot of talent to the NFL..including Greene, the NCAA's winningest qb. Heck, Richt was just named SEC COTY bc of that. They are deep and Richt can develop qb's like no one else.

I hope their demise comes, but guys, I just don't see it. Here's to keeping hope alive!!!

Re: UGAg\'s season is getting ready to head south

GeeTee, I don't disagree with your post. I could understand it even if I disagreed.

I only responded to Jake because I couldn't figure out what he meant..?

Re: UGAg\'s season is getting ready to head south

My post was uneccessary. On second thought, I should have left it alone. My apologies.

Re: UGAg\'s season is getting ready to head south

Hey the game could have gone either way. I forgot how bad our special teams were and Reggie's propensity to throw God awful passes in the red zone at the end of the game against UGAg.

We could have easily won that game. We would be in the Gator bowl at 8-3 and UGAg would be 9-3 in the Sugar Bowl. UGAg was overhyped this year. They snuck by Arkansas, Miss St, GT, SC and lost to FL and Auburn. I think they beat 3 teams with winning records...

Re: UGAg\'s season is getting ready to head south

Dont be a wuss Jake, speak your mind and defend it...by your comment I took it as Corso always predicts wrong (as he does tend to do), as did gtyellowjacket...no harm in pointing that out.

Re: UGAg\'s season is getting ready to head south

After posting I thought about how GT has been screwed by the bowl selections and how the fans feel after that and the loss to UGA in football and basketball. I figured I didn't need to rub salt, but that was after I posted. Yes, I could have deleted my post, but I think that is truly wussing out.

To the contrary. UGA was picked to finish 3rd in the SEC east by most college football forecasters. I think the team of "no-names" did pretty well for themselves.

If I am correct UGAg was a top ten pick before the season by most rating services. Tennesse was 4th. Florida was up there. I don't think UGAg is a top ten team. Could have lost several close wins...

Re: UGAg\'s season is getting ready to head south

All disdain for the in-state rivals aside, the season is over and the dawgies did finish ranked #8 in both polls and #7 in the final BCS poll. 10-2 with a trip to the Sugar Bowl seems like a good year to me.

Now, excuse me, I think I'm going to be ... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puke.gif ...sick.

But they did not lose them .. We cannot say the same
Well coached teams find a way to keep it close and take advantage of the other teams mistakes
