UNC game time is Noon

The thing that pisses me off is that their choices have almost no bearing on the status of who's playing. VPI/Miami gets prime time simply because its Miami and "DA U IS BACK". Notice that they place FSU/South Florida at the same time but they get ESPNU while we're on Raycom. Why? Cause its ****ing FSU. They might be 1-2 with zero win's against FBS teams but no one cares.

And TCU/Clemson is on ESPN 360? That should be a better game than NC St./Pitt but its probably getting shafted because of TCU's TV crowd.

Someone on here said that ESPN is downing the ACC more than they should to influence the upcoming ACC TV deal negotiations or whatever. I'm starting to think that's more plausible.

CPJ prefers noon games. He says he'd play them at 9am if they'd let him.

Man...tailgate would have to start at Midnight then. :laugher:

that would be awesome! i would start at midnight, party all night. go to the game and then be able to sleep it off while taping all the games i want. then wake up and watch them into the night

Raycom!??? Are you kidding me!??? This is one of the biggest coastal matchups of the year with both teams likely ranked going in. Please tell me this is not right. I'm driving to New Orleans that morning and wanted to arrive early and watch the game there.

I think this has more to do with the way UNC played this weekend against UConn. I watched a good bit of that game and it was really boring.

*&^%$$#@# That means I have to wake up @ 530am, start drinking @ 6am, and I'll be bombasted by 1030am. Awesome.

Tech AA used to make plenty of money just by having a ten-game schedule, 2:00 pm games at a 60,000 seat stadium, and very little TV. Football supported the other sports and their venues plus the AA made at least one donation to the Institute that I can recall.

What happened (besides adding huge overhead)?

The huge overhead happened. It costs a lot more to run a football team now than it did back then.

I don't have as much qualms about the noon game. To me there are only two meaningful times for games. Late night games (7 or 8 pm) and other time games. If we get an "other time" game then so bit.
But throwing us onto Raycom, in my opinion, is just **** kicking us in the name of minor viewer increases. If the FSU/South Fl. game gets better ratings on the same channel is solely because there are more FSU fans, and it FSU loses this weekend I start to think that won't matter anymore.
Unfortunately we won't be able to prove this because the world won't turn to Raycom no matter what game is on, they'll stick to ESPN/ABC/CBS.

Did any games that were not Thurs night/Georgia get onto one of those 3 channels?

Could someone do a password protected broadcast of the Raycom game on JustinTV? I am out of state, so I won't be seeing the game.

Progress. :D

Hey, paying Chan Gailey to not coach for us and CPJ(with his ridiculous raise after one year) to coach for us isn't cheap! I bet back in your day you didn't pay anyone to not coach for you.
