Uniform Sexiness vs. Success

The blue pants with the white stripe is a great combo.

I recall liking the honeycomb uniforms at the time but man they did not age well (or were horrendous to begin with).

The only Russell uniforms I liked were the throwback ones, but all of them were too tight in the sleeves. I imagine it would be hard to block with your uniform pulling on your arms.

those were good but I also liked the white ones with the gold and blue stripes on the shoulder pads. I think they were the main uniform in ~2016-2017 timeframe

Those were the same ones we wore vs LSU in the '08 Peach Bowl with mustard pants.

I like the players having a say in which uniform they wear. If they point at a combo and say, "Yeah... we can kick azz in dat... I would enjoy kicking azz in dat," I say we should let them.

I just require our logo and I veto Red and Black, which is the Official Color Combo of Pure Evil: Satan... Sith... Dwags... bad bronies... there's a long list.

One thing I’ve noticed about myself is that, if I don’t like a uniform we wear, but we win in it, I then love that uniform. For example, I wasn’t a fan of the blue pants when we walked out in them on Saturday... but now that we won, I’m automatically a fan of that look.

One other that comes to mind... That puke yellow color from ‘08 brings back some awfully fond memories. Anyone else feel this way? Post the ugly uniform you love.

I think (throwbacks aside) this is Russels only good uniform.

Most were "servicable" and a few were downright awful.

Not sure what the point is: when is the last time GT had a "traditional" uniform scheme. Seems they never last more than 1 or 2 seasons. I bet no one would agree on what it should be so that means there isn't one. At this point, it is what it is so Tech should use that to our advantage, be different and creative.

This thread confirms that black kicks navy's a$$ as a trim color. Black is a normal outline/trim color for just about anything, so it doesn't detract from the W/G despite a heavy presence.

03 to 07 we wore the same perfect design

Whoever designed, approved, sewed, distributed, and/or created the bubble wrap/chicken wire uniforms should have been tarred and feathered. A top 5 all time disgusting uniform abomination that is embarrassing Tech ever wore. I despise the chicken wire helmets and bubble wrap numbers. Each on their own and the combo is dog öööö.

I agree that this is a great look, but kids (and many fans) these days like a little variety. As long as the helmet is gold with a white 'GT', or white with a gold 'GT', I'm okay with the current mixing/matching of the white/gold/navy in the jerseys and pants if the kids dig it.
