Update on the UCF game

I don't know how the gameday stadium employees' pay is set up, but they probably would prefer to get paid on Saturday, even if they are cleaning up and doing repairs. First they get storm damage, then an unexpected day off without pay. Then again, we wouldn't want to offend anyone's sensitivities.

Just the logistics of everyone returning after the evacuations is reason enough to cancel. Not to mention the cleanup and relief efforts in south Florida. It's just a football game.

Exactly. People are going to be pouring *back* into Florida for the next week. Additionally, my company has been sending teams of people down to support damage assessment for the power grid for the past several days, and are sending another team to Tampa tomorrow.

Disney World is currently closed, if it opens by say Thursday; then it probably means Orlando is in good enough shape to have the game on Saturday.

I don't wanna lose a game. Lets pull a Heisman. Go down there and play anyone that will show up.
I hope this is cancelled with no makeup date. We could use the extra bye and prep for Pitt and UNC. We have already been done a favor with Miami.

Waah life is hard, let's cancel all the games

Their football team didn't evacuate and doesn't need to clean up anything. Game on. This is a typical fall hurricane, it was only built up in the media because Harvey was bad.
