UVA Stinks! Told you so!

I'm more worried about our history of losing winnable games after big wins in openers. If we can avoid the midseason trap game, which we did last year (until the end, that is), I think we could have a special season.

We need to keep working hard, because the BC game won't be a joke.

Going back two or three years when we had virtually no depth to make a point is not valid IMO. The reason we didn't have a "trap" game last year is we were better and we had TC and the OL to carry us when need be. The better team almost always wins and GT is better than most on their schedule this season. Depth will be a key and injuries therefore are worth watching but this Saturday we would beat UVA soundly. Now the two games before and after them might be the two toughest we play this season prior to November 24th.

No I never knew why some many people thought they where good. I knew they sucked and figured more people knew they sucked but people keep saying that is a trap game or a letdown whatever. I never claimed to be the college football guru I just could not see why anyone thought they where a good football team. And BOR I can care less about telling people " I told you so." I just don't see this team losing to a UVA type team.

Wes Durham likes them. Is he an idiot?

The Wyoming game is only one game. They're not that bad. Like I said before, I'll be happy to escape C-Ville with a win.

Not sure this is what you mean, but BC isn't a 'trap' game. (Nor is it midseason).

I am partway through the BC-Wake replay online, but so far I am conviced that we will have to play exceptionally to beat BC. We do get lucky in that they will have to play NCState this week. Central Florida aside, I doubt that they will be able to prepare for us for two weeks. Ap State aside, we had better be preparing for BC now.

Samford is no Ap State.

I was actually talking about Virginia. BC, like you said, is a great team. That game worries me to death.

I also agree with the rest of you guys that the likelihood of a big upset is smaller this year. Our team depth and overall psyche seems to make the chance smaller.

We're off to a great start. We just need to make sure to take one game at a time and play smart football.

BC doesn't scare me at all. Their QB is just not as good as the media and/or other fans will have you believe. I think our D will annihilate their O; under 250 yards and 5 sacks. We roll 24-10.
