Ted Roof keeps getting these jobs gives Geff hope of landing another job in the near future.
 
Not sure how 49-0 is all on the 3 DC’s (Ted Roof, Todd Bates, Jay Valai) for OU’s fault? Hard to win games when the offense under guru Jeff Lebby scored 0 points. Oklahoma had 39 total passing yards and 156 yards rushing.

Venables is lucky to have a job after that. I thought they may fire him last night.
 
On Andy Staples this morning, he said any play Oklahoma was out there NOT in the Wildcat was a wasted play, and whenever he saw the quarterback under center he just completely wrote off the play.

I’ll speak for myself- I thought Thacker and the imbecile were basically the same. Maybe I was just lazy, but if I was DC I don’t think I’d let that DWE anywhere near my players and I sure as hell would not have tolerated him ööööing them up before, during or after games.

Not that easy when that same guy is your boss, and has helped you get every meaningful job in your career.
 
Having spent 8 years, in the Norman OK area, I can tell you this. Sooner fans are far more unforgiving than GT fans are. Venables better figure it out and fast... They WILL fire his ass, after just one year.

They need to bring juice to Norman. Competition is king.
 
Such a weird hire for OU- an ACC clown-show DC with zero head coaching bonafides, wtf were they thinking? Anybody could look good at DC with the defensive talent he had to work with at Clemson.
 
Wasn't Clemson known for "stealing" signals? Maybe that's what's missing at OU.

You do know he was the DC under stoops at Oklahoma before taking the Clemson job and winning a couple of titles, right?
