This was my experience at Ole Miss. Got a GT parking pass and showed up to an ungated and unattended lot full of a bunch of other tech fans aimlessly driving around with a WTF face looking for a place to park in our designated lot

Our attendant scans our pass maybe half the time. He just waved at us Saturday

I've ridden it from time to time and never had trouble. Thousands ride from the Falcon's game to H.E. Holmes station or other. I've ridden it to the Peach Bowl in the past. Are you just a frightened little pussy or something?

I do live in Midtown and I don't blow sunshine about the realities of some aspects of it, but you're a huge pussy if you're too scared to ride marta as a man. Lone women ride it all the time and they actually get ööööed with.

There's a certain thing going on culturally where a particular kind of conservative guy feels compelled to always act over-the-top afraid of anything related to urban areas and it's lame
 
Mover can ride marta with little risk. Heck, I can ride marta with little risk.

You know the old punchline "you dont have to outrun the bear, you just have to outrun the other guy". Its just not going to be common for thugs to mess with a man over six feet tall who isnt conspicuously displaying jewelry or valuables. There are simply too many easier targets to take that risk.

Granted, that risk is moving from rare to uncommon to mad max at an alarming speed lately.

No, I’m Atlanta, he’s parked on the side of the road with his hazards on waiting on you to pull over and help, unload the clip, then rob you. He wouldn’t just do a drive by for no reason.
 
Some sheltered bitches on here. As a regular Marta rider when I'm in town, there's a handful of whackos but it's not like your life is in danger. I take it back & forth to North Ave/Midtown every football game plus travel around on it the rest of the weekend. My mass is largely centered closer to the center of my ass these days, I'm damn near bald, but riding Marta is not a bad deal and never felt threatened. I've been on it early in the morning, late in the day, etc and it's no more dangerous than roaming off the GT campus into Midtown/4th Ward, etc.
 
I feel like y’all missed the joke I was making, I guess it sucked. But I’d still wouldn’t ever ride MARTA solely bc I just like driving places.

It can also be more economical to drive and park if you have 4 or so people riding with you.
