Trolling techsideline.com for a bit...they seem very worried about their entire offense. Not even just Glennon.

One poster has dubbed the GT game "Tyrod Taylor running for his life show"

It's going to take time before I can get excited again about the other fans being worried about playing us. In recent years it just meant we were going to be the ones to turn them around.

Prior to the season, I had nearly written this game off as a loss. Then I thought that this game would be one of the toughest this season and one that we had a small chance of winning. Now it looks more like I may need to flip flop my expectations between the VT and Miami games.

I'm still very tentative about the game. Never count out a team with a good coach at home that feels like this game may make or break their ACC title hopes. But, I feel like we have an excellent chance to win if our defense performs the way they did yesterday and our offense continues to improve this week.

VT has not looked good at all offensively. I'm not calling a win, but I'm feeling more like 50/50 about this game. Even so, the VT fans not being confident doesn't encourage me all that much. We know how flippant and crazy fans can be when things don't go exactly the way they expect. ;)

I still think we'll win. BC had the best front seven we'll see until UGA. More runs are going to the second level. VT is not going to stuff the run like BC (who barely kept us under 200 yds). Tyrod Taylor is the X-Factor in the game. If he plays really well, they'll win, otherwise its ours to lose.

We stole that game from BC. We did not dominate them in any phase of the game except the scoreboard, and even that was close.

We CAN steal the VT game too, but they have to be favored to win.

I'm way more worried about how we play!!!

After yesterday I LOVE OUR HEART AND WILL, but we have so many things to work on to be better!

GO JACKETS!!

We did steal the BC game and if it wasn't for "Josh Nesbitt running all over the field" after play breakdowns, we would have lost too. Both teams need to contain the other's quarterback.

I'm afraid we could lose it on ST's, or the home factor.

Agreed. The fact that JN had to scramble was because we did not establish the running game. That put us in 3rd and long and everyone knew we had to pass. I expect steady improvement to the O-line. Lets not fool ourselves though it was the 'D' that won the BC game.

I don't expect many teams to establish a run with BC this year. Their front 7 is gigantic.

I don't know that the D "won it for us." They were definitely the reason we stayed in it through the mistakes, but late in the game our offense made the plays that won the game.

We didn't "steal" anything from BC. Our D kicked their ass. Sports media and fans wrote us off this year because of offense is expected to be bad. Well, 50% of the damn game is defense, too. Look for our guys to be in VT's backfield all day. Damn good win yesterday.

Their D kicked our ass too, and we were damn lucky to end the first half only down by 2. Our offense was wretched, and BC shot themselves in the foot by changing their offensive game plan in the second half. Don't expect any coaching mistakes like that vs VT.

We CAN steal the VT game too, but they are a better team than us right now. Just like BC is.

I don't agree with this at all. We practically gave the game away. We should have been up by 10 points at halftime if it wasn't for the fumbles. We got touch enough in the second half not to flush away a perfectly good chance at a victory.

They averaged less than 3 yards a play. We averaged around 4.4 yards per play. they also had 77 plays to our 53 which was due to the amount of times we turned the ball over.

We practically gave the game away by being that bad at offense.

What makes you think we'll fumble the ball less vs VT than vs BC (3) or JSU (5)?

We hold onto the ball in the first half, this game isn't even close. Not even close. I don't know how you describe it as a "steal". Far from it. We got lucky no doubt on a couple of plays, but they had the ball bounce their way more than we did, and we still won the game.

It was their two fatass linemen that overpowered our OL. It's hard to option when you're getting hit in the backfield before you even have time to make a read and pitch.

Anyone know how good VT's dline is? Probably not as good as BC's.

VT was beating Furman 3-0 at halftime, so them being better than us is debatable.
