VT fans not confident

We open up at +10.

garbgage

Everywhere I see is +7, so unless it got bet down 3 points in 3 hours (which is just about impossible) wherever you found this number you need to bet it immediately and arb with VT -7 for a guaranteed payday.

I don't know how you describe it as a "steal".
The way I read it, when you cough it up 3x on the road against the defending division champion you have essentially given the game away. But then, in the fourth quarter, we stole it back. Semantics, but I see what he meant.

he got it from the LVSC open which is the starting place for all odds in vegas. You can google them and it explains their relationship to setting the opening line.

Our defense is going to dominate VThug.Stinespring could even be a worse OC then Nix. They have no play makers at any of the skill position including Taylor (overrated.) There defense is very well coached but young. I think we have a shot for a blowout.

Well maybe it is semantics, but stealing it sounds to me like we lucked out. In my mind we took it, meaning we manned up and kicked their asses in the 4th quarter.

Jesus. If anyone wants to make guaranteed money bet those lines, and then bet any/all of these:

We practically gave the game away by being that bad at offense.

This is buckethead talk. The offense got the homerun play when it needed to. The offense iced the game when it needed to. The offense scored the go-ahead touchdown when it needed to.

You don't have to rack up 56 points if all you need is something more than 16. The way we were pushing around their fatass D-linemen late in 4th quarter, we could have scored another TD, but kind ole PJ was gentleman enough to take a knee.

This game was close because BC is the most physical team we'll play all year. But our guys were just more physical. It was a good old-fashioned slugfest. Did you not see BC bodies hitting the floor in the 1st quarter and getting hauled off the field by the truckload? We were hitting them in the mouth.

This was just an overall "gut" win, and stealing had nothing to do with it.

Holy smokes... is this bizarro Stingtalk? Bunger Henry just defended and complimented a GT football team effort. :werd:

We never pushed around their fatass D linemen, early or late, 1st quarter or 4th. We had one reasonably successful run between the tackles all game. Half of Dwyer's yards were on the last home-run pitch, and it was outside, well away from the fatass D linemen you falsely claim we pushed around. The bulk of Nesbitt's rushing yards were on pass plays where he scrambled and made something out of nothing, after our O line made the wrong reads and let the wrong guys through. Two of our turnovers were forced by "fatass" penetration. Our O line play was horrid all game.

We will face 2 more D lines about as good as BC this year. One is next week, at VT, and the other is UGA. And winning either of those games will require stealing the win, just like we stole the win vs BC. We match up well vs everyone else though.

He's setting up his "failing to live up to expectations" post after our first loss. Probably already has it written up, and saved on his hard drive.

Trolling techsideline.com for a bit...they seem very worried about their entire offense. Not even just Glennon.

One poster has dubbed the GT game "Tyrod Taylor running for his life show"

Tried to look at that board - dang...it makes me thankful that we have well designed message boards.

No kidding. It makes me thankful the Tech message boards are pointless hit and run posts, where the board style facilitates posts to have something with some value (well, for most of us anyway :p).

We stole that game from BC. We did not dominate them in any phase of the game except the scoreboard, and even that was close.

We CAN steal the VT game too, but they have to be favored to win.
Just curious, but did you miss the part about us learning a new offense? If you're expecting us to dominate anyone right now, you're going to be very disappointed pretty much every game for a while. But we didn't steal anything. Our D kept them out of the end zone, which is their job. The O hit enough big plays to score more than we gave up, which is their job. We did dominate the 4th quarter on both sides of the ball, which you either missed or don't put much stock in. But that's what tough teams do.

No, I didn't, and I fully blame most of our failure to dominate them in any phase of the game on us learning a new offense. I also expect that by the time the 2nd half of the season rolls around, we should know the offense, and our play will be much better, and we WILL begin to truly dominate teams.

But I don't see how anyone can reasonably look back at the BC game and claim that we dominated any point. We had 4 good plays on offense, two in our 2nd drive, and 2 in the 4th quarter. Other than that, the game was entirely and completely un-dominating.

We hung in there long enough to steal the game, which was good, and I'm happy, and we should be able to do the same thing vs VT, and I'm happy about that too.

I find you guys's memories of the 4th quarter especially hilarious. Our entire production the 4th quarter was on 2 plays. Here's the play summary of our offense in the 4th quarter:

This offense is predicated on the big play, so I don't know what beej is trying to prove.

OMG, WE DIDN'T RINKY-DINK THEM AROUND THE FIELD WITH AN 8 MINUTE DRIVE THEREFORE OUR OFFENSE SUCKS!!!
