The article about dead money showed how idiotic some of these contracts are, paying guys 15-20M in extreme cases NOT to coach. I wish I had their agents. Many are saying, well, we have no money so we have to endure the complete collapse. Multiple problems IMO with that approach. First, the longer you go the more it hurts recruiting. GC is a dead man walking next year and every recruit knows it. Second, those empty seats last week are empty because somewhere along the way people threw the towel in, many if not most may never come back. Third, I believe it costs more to keep him than to admit the mistake, cut losses and start quickly on the rebuild.
