The triple option is dead. The cut blocking rule changes in 2022 (no cuts outside the tackle box) have killed it.

I'd much rather wait to see what Monken's record is after the rule changes before we do something with him anything.

I'd much prefer Jamey Chadwell's version. His version of the triple option works just fine. His blocking techniques are different. It's much more balanced and thus easier to transition to whatever offense you want in the event he/we moved on, assuming he is the guy. I wouldn't mind getting Kansas AD and HC in a package deal. Both of those have a better future than JM, imo. At least at GT.

I don't think any of them run the triple option, but regardless, they have sense enough to run an option-ORIENTED offense, which is the same thing O'Leary with Friegen ran. It worked then; it works now; it will work again at Tech.
