Watching history repeat itself.

Jeff isn't tied to the triple wherever he goes next. He told the South Carolina president that when he interviewed for that job.

And the claw of a hammer can be used to carve cute little wooden wieners, but hammers are mostly good at hitting nails.

I love scrolling through old threads thinking “man I hope I didn’t post something stupid”

I read that entire thread and only your alt posted in it. not you. -disappointed.

The worst part about having had CPJ here is that we’ve become this triple option fan club for some where they are going to bitch and moan about the lack of a 3O.

This is not a complaint about CPJ or the option offense in general, just this cult following that has infiltrated our fan base.

wtf dude. did you watch GT in the 70s? We were here then too.

Don’t forget the Georgia Southern idiots who adopted us and just want to talk about PJ

Both Army and Navy are 1-2.
Why are you leaving off air force?
Why aren't you discussing army's defensive struggles?

Air force is currently putting up 420ish yards per game and has the number 23rd total offense.

Ken at Navy is struggling with his career, different story.

I’m glad to have the Southern folks as Tech fans (not CPJ fans). I wish we had more of them pulling for us instead of uga.
going back to the 80s, when a Tech score was announced (and Tech was ahead) at Paulson Stadium, it got cheered. Georgia scores (when mutts were leading) got booed, even with the great number of mutts fans that exist in the Southern fan base and in Statesboro/Bulloch County. Tech's always gotten support from Southern fans, way before PJ coached at Tech.

There was almost a Tech-Southern game in the late 90s. My Georgia Southern sources told me, at the time, it was about 95 percent done. But that last little 5 percent of the contract couldn't be bridged, so it got shelved.
Southern went and played Oregon State instead. Damn near beat them too.

That’s because those are true Southern fans. We both know that a very large portion of Southern affiliates (meaning alumni and active students) are uga diehards and were probably at the uga game already.

Not all of GT fans are just PJ carryovers. My dad went to GT. Letter winner even. I was raised on GT football. I may have gone to GS, and went to every game - but even then I've most likely been to many more GT games because of my dad. I love GT. I loved them in the winless Lewis years, Gailey, GOL, all of it. But I especially loved them during the PJ years. It was something I could share with my dad when we went to all the games. For those of that don't have a lot of bridges that connect us to our fathers, those were some of the best football games I ever went to. I love the triple option, the history of it, even the i-formation. Of course I'm biased, but I want what's best for GT more than the TO. With that said, Jamey Chadwell is the best of both worlds. Also, he coached at Charleston Southern when Bobby Cremins was there. It's meant to be!

Nonetheless, I know my place on this forum. This is stingtalk - if it's all the same to ya'll, I try to keep it relevant to GT and thus keep the rapings to a minimum.

To be clear, I wasn’t just referencing Southern fans. We had some of our own turn into option cultists where it’s option first, Tech second.

I just want to win and have the best coach for it. I don’t care what system it is as long as it wins.

That tends to happen when you hire a triple option coach. It is truly most divisive, a virtual cult of the college football world. The Leach Air Raid has a similar effect.
