Way Too Early 2023 Prediction …

Just make a damn bowl game. That’d solidify everyone’s opinions regarding Key as being the right hire.

And yes, it’s nice having a coach who you know could physically beat up any other coach we face.

Do u even Stingtalk bro... There are fonts here angry he didn't run the table with a 3rd string QB post-clown. Bowling alone would make half the fanbase excited and half would s%+# lemons.

The improvement in just a few short weeks (after Zach Gibson’s performance against UVA) was unbelievable. That was the most drastic improvement from a QB in a very short period of time.

Can’t say I’ve seen anything quite like it. That’s coaching. Weinke might be a diamond in the rough for us if he was the one responsible.

For us to go 7-5 or 8-4 the OL has to become a good cohesive unit, Pyron has to be a playmaker and minimize mistakes, and the Defense has to be the D that shutdown Duke for three quarters and UNC. Oh, and cover the darn punts! Tall order but it is doable.

I will be pleasantly surprised with 6 wins next year. If I had to bet on a number, it would be 4 or maybe 5 wins.
Depends on the portal, I’d hope for a bowl game

These two posts are more realistic. The roster clown left needs some work. The TE's we have need to be taught how to catch (which is possible). LB's will need to be replaced. WR's will need to step up (and in some cases learn how to catch). I think the biggest surprise next year will be the OL. Solid OL play will make the rest of the offense look better. We saw some solid OL play near the end of the season and if we build on that and some other players step up or come through the portal, we could make it to bowl eligible next year.

I bet we look way better next year than we did at the end of this year. 9 wins is our floor. Coit is the conductor of this hype train but I'm in first class.

If we only win four games next year, things are going to be really, really ugly on here and in the stands.

Why do fans do this to themselves or their team? I have zero expectations regarding the scoreboard. That is out of our control and in the hands of the football gods (fumbles, injuries, weather conditions, missed chip shots, instant replay….).

All I care about is we play hard and our players show they care. My favorite play this past season was a simple running play up the middle where our offensive line and entire offensive team carried Smith about 10 extra yards for a 1st down. I don’t rememeber if we won that game or even what game it was. What I remember is that was the first time since the Orange Bowl victory where a GT football team looked pissed off and determined. I sat up and took notice as if we just won the ball game. My GT student son texted me after that play and it simply stated “What team is this?” That’s the team I want to see week to week.

Agreed, after Key coaches spring and fall practices he will completely transform this team away from clown-culture.

Hard to guess until we see how the portal shakes out. Assuming the 4th OOC isn’t another Top 25 quality team the schedule should be significantly more manageable.

Unless we get decimated in the portal you’ve got to expect a bowl with that schedule. If we are able to hang on to most of our squad I could see 7/8 wins.

If we could find any more painful things to do to ourselves, don't doubt we would.
