You're ignoring recent history if you don't think there's a decent chance Clemson could cover. They beat us by 28 last year, and the offense we were running reduces the number of the possessions in the game.

I don’t think 3 and outs in reverse do much to speed the game up.

At most divorce takes half your net worth plus $30k in attorney fees. My question would still stand. Maybe a couple of years out of school?

Agreed. I realize the offensive scheme change is a big deal, but some of the national media and fanbases are acting like the all the current football players up and left, and we are having to train our baseball and basketball players to field a team from the way they talk. This is still a team full of football players who the vast majority of had other p5 offers out of high school. We are not going to to be helpless and hopeless. We will not finish last in the Coastal. And if for some reason Clemson does cover (I don't think they will), it'll say a whole lot more about how good they are than how bad we are.
 
Clemson has struggled in early games in years past. That, and we are unknown so they're not able to watch tape on previous years teams. There's a chance we can keep in reasonable if we get some turnovers.
