Has to be. Our "Facilities/Overhead" has been 6-15MM more than theirs for the past 5 years. Their "Other" has been 4-12MM more than ours over the past 5 years. That's a lot of other.

EDIT: Averages for the past 5 years (2011-2015):

GT - Facilities/Overhead=16.5 MM; Other=18.5 MM
CU - Facilities/Overhead=6.4 MM; Other=25.1 MM

Still, that's a lot of other.
 
I must admit, we are getting more airtime on 680 The Fan this week than we've gotten all year. Buck and Kincade are talking about the Clemson gap now.

Kincade asking why CPJ would use Clemson as an example since he's beaten them all but one time at home in the past 6 tries.

Besides the difference of 6MM plus coach severance, there's still the academics issue. According to this graph, Vandy actually outranks GT in spending. I assume that's because of Title IX requires Vandy to have more non-rev sports, but still I don't think the Vandy AA is a bunch of dumbasses.

Of course, GT *should* do much better than Vandy, even with the same academic restrictions. GT has much more fan support than Vandy. But between Vandy and even ND, it shows how hard it can be with academic restrictions. And no, Stanford doesn't show how easy it is.

Didn't before the season Johnson comment about how there wasn't a gap between us and Clemson?

If it's going to give us the edge to pretend to be a football factory or at least compete with them on a more level field, I say lets do it. Don't you guys always complain about seeing dwag logos every business you go to?

Mercedes makes a lot of sense to me. Especially given that our fanbase likes to brag about making decent coin. High end products don't target larger scales of population but the higher class, which is our advantage compared to uga, right? What other companies can y'all think of?

Doesn't Mercedes sponsor the Falcons new stadium?

We should go after Tesla or SpaceX or something like that.

SpaceX makes sense. We can give them an area inside the stadium where they can have an exhibit.
