We don't have a single win over uga in any sport in 2017

BS, it is an excuse. You guys are engineers. Attack the damn problem like an engineer and come up with solutions instead of weak excuses.

So the BOR is stacked with UGA people? Then somebody with a GT degree needs to run for freaking governor and then stack the BOR with his appointees. Or get some serious GT heavy hitters to start putting political pressure to get GT people on the BOR. Believe it or not but $$ trumps college allegiances in these types of matters.

C'mon now, you now that the overwhelming majority of GT fans aren't going to bother contributing $$$ to the sports programs.

You have to stop caring, like our Administration has. It gets easier the longer you dont care.

That's actually the saddest part in all of this. The GT admin really doesn't care. Sure, it's nice if GT has decent athletics, but they aren't going to put forth any effort to make that happen. Doubtful that Stansbury can do much when Photo Op Prez Bud keeps his head up his rear.

It is always darkest before the dawn.

Who are "you guys"? Are you not a Tech fan?

I don't think you understand the full context, and that's okay. This is a much larger conversation, but I'll say at least this much - what you propose sounds great, but there has to be a person/people who actually wants to run for governor, clamor political pressure, etc. We also don't have a law school = not producing lawyers = less Tech politicians in the state govt.
Oh God, here we go again. Why not just pack it up and make all sports club sports?

One of the guys I work with is a dwag on a lot of their donor committees. He told me last week that his uncle would go to BOR meetings and his uncle would routinely tell him that Wayne Clough was always his favorite person at the meetings. Said he was very focused and firm but with time grew exceedingly frustrated with the BOR. said that his uncle told him every single decision centered around benefiting UGA and all other schools got the crumbs. We already know this but was interesting for me to hear it from him.
