We should be 5-0.

Well - we're not. We are a mediocre team that will be at best in a crap bowl. These losses count. 1 point losses count. We win a lot of ball games in seasons where our players make plays.
We didn't do that today or during the Tennessee game at crunch time. You have to make that 3rd down catch - you have to have the football IQ to knock the ball down. I have seen this movie before.
What happened to Benson? We need more than Skirch full time.

So? We still won't go to the ACCCG

This was a season-wrecking loss. Now it's down to bowl position and beating UGA.

We lose key defensive personnel for next year, so we will be worse off.

This loss is WAY WORSE than it seems. Most significant loss since maybe the Attaochu punch, or possibly 2009 UGA

I'm not saying it wasn't a bad loss, but is this your first season following the ACC coastal? If one loss knocks us out of the ACCCG, it would be the exception.

It’s not just losing close games. It’s the complete shitting of the bed on all fronts in the second half twice this year. Complete bed shitting. If we hadn’t been gifted a TD to start the half, this would have looked much different.

This is Georgia Tech. What it has been; what it will be.
No longer give a shit.

I figured we’d be sitting at 5-1 at this juncture. The fact that we’re 3-2 is a disappointment.

I was very pissed off after this game -as mad as I’ve been in a good while after a tough loss -primarily because it was a winnable game.

Looking back after an hour to cool off, losing Benson was likely the difference-maker today. Yes there was a key dropped pass and tipped pass, a gift botched onside kick, but if he doesn’t get hurt I think we win this game.

I like Benson as much as the next guy but he wasn't exactly tearing it up before his injury.

Death by a thousand tiny cuts in the UT game and this game.

UT game, we win if:
-2 point conversion good (1)
-Either FG made (2, 3)
-Either fumble doesn't happen (4, 5)
-JJ Green doesn't commit an illegal block away from the ball on a 30 yard gain, causing us to have to throw on third down to... (6)
-Juene doesn't drop a 3rd down catch (lead to 1st FG) (7)
-Jordan hits a wide open Qua Searcy for a TD (8)

And that's just off the top of my head

This game, we win if:
-Ball is batted away on 4th and 10 (1)
-Stewart catches 3rd down pass (2)
-Searcy doesn't slip on third down, causing incompletion (3)
-Marshall doesn't throw it away on 3rd and 17 when he has two men behind all Miami defenders for a TD (4)
-Marshall doesn't throw it away on 3rd and goal when he has two men wide open in the endzone (5)
-Marshall throws the ball in front of Searcy (instead of behind) on 4th and 6, Searcy able to make first down - maybe we score, maybe we don't, but Miami doesn't have enough time to drive down and score with :12 left in first half (6)

Make any one of those plays (or even two) and we win easily in both games.

Over half of the time, CPJ doesn't win close games. We are not a clutch team. We get tight in end-of-game situations and lose. I don't know how we fix it but it sucks to watch as a fan. You just know we'll find a way to lose instead of stepping on the other team's throat and finishing the game.

We would be 5-0 if we had the athletes to make plays. You saw the difference with that made 4th down catch by the Miami WR vs. Stewart's drop

Lol. One is a cross thrown high. The other was underthrown and tipped into the receivers arms. Give me a break man.
Exactly. CPJ is 10-11 at Tech in games decided by 3 pts or less. He's not a good coach at closing out Ws. Just a "Meh" kind of coach. An "IIWII" coach.

Would be genuinely curious to know what any random 5 coaches of your choosing's cumulative record is in games decided by less than 3, excluding Saban, Meyer, Fisher, and the good Stoops.
