I haven't rewatched the game, but it really looked like we gave up on the short passing game. It seemed to work so well at FSU, but not so much since then. It looked to me like our RBs were open coming out of the backfield on numerous pass plays, but we still ended up getting hit or throwing into coverage.
 
The intangibles were bad going into the Cuse game (still should have won). The intangibles should be good this time: 2 weeks to get ready and game plan. Expect a better game plan for Sims. UofL doesn't have a good D so I think the our offense should be just fine. If we play without mistakes then we can score.

UofL does have a good offense so I'm worried about that side of the ball. Like most games this season, we need to win the TO battle to win the game.

This is the type of game: bi week at home, at night that historically, good GT teams won but I don't have the same confidence in the program right now. Hopefully we can change that in the near future.

Syr has 5 LBs that looked for and stopped our short pass which hurt fsu and ucf.We needed Mason to bully run vs their 3 man front.It didn't happen.
 
I'm also guessing that UCF and Syracuse reviewed the F$U film and pretty much figured out how to kill us.

Cuse sat in a zone; expect a lot more of that going forward. FSU was in man and we hit a lot of crossing routes
 
The D has been unimpressive the last two games (and the O hasn’t helped much). They better fix a lot of things before facing Louisville or they’ll get run over again.
